Wow this little car had some problems. I got a F icon on my dash and it just wouldn't do anything. The ignition lights came on but when i turned the key nothing. Turned out to be water under the fuse mount panel. It cleaned it out with a dry sponge. Made sure all the contacts were dry and corrosion free and then sprayed it with automotive switch cleaner. Put it back together and presto it started. I would say 85% of the time this problem starts with ingress of water to the ECU or fuse box.
paulkazjack absolutely mate, in this case just a bad place for the ECU to live ... don’t forget to watch the other 2 videos 👍👍👍 part 2 Vauxhall Corsa D 1.3 Diesel Crank No Start Part 2 | Will It Start ??? th-cam.com/video/T8ag4VQetF4/w-d-xo.html Vauxhall Corsa D 1.3 Diesel Injector change and Coding th-cam.com/video/JeanYzqd7rU/w-d-xo.html
The 1.3 JTD engine is a Fiat/GM joint effort. Though I think Fiat did most of the work. Fiat mount the ECU on the battery case that sits above the gearbox. They have the same sliding cam connectors. The lever comes loose so it helps if you pull (gently) on the slide as you lift the lever. GM engineers need a slap for putting the ECU out in the weather.
Great vid am working on vauxhall corsa with the exact same issues and it's the ecu water damage so reconfirmed what I and you found. Thanks and did you fix it and got it working again
Hello.Nice video, running the car now with the control unit repair? Have just the same Problem.Have now bought all new sensors and injectors are the in repair .Bin times curious whether the car runs after installation or whether it is synonymous with me.Is there a second part of the video ??? Greetings from Germany
Thanks mate ... Yeap the car is running even better than before ... good luck with your repair ... there is a second part link is in the description below the video but I’ll leave it here too th-cam.com/video/T8ag4VQetF4/w-d-xo.html cheers 👍👍👍👍
How's she goin'? Wow Igor, you really had to get into the guts of things to ID this problem!!! Nice going. And then you tried (and maybe will succeed) to make board repairs. You are an extraordinary service teck buddy!! Thanks for posting and I'm looking forward to the next episode!!!
Thanks mate, Yeap this one was a difficult one 😬😋... Spoiler alert the board operation went well and the patient is resting on operation table awaiting to be plugged back in tomorrow fingers crossed 🤞 🤞🤞😊
Sounds good. I have exact same problem same car I change high pressure pump, clean egr, repair ECU, clean air intake and pipes, to start spray works good but stop sprayer and engines dead can you tell me what you do for bleed system I try everything and no start please
I try this. For start pressure is 600 to 800 I did bleed for all places sound bad for me. Car it’s 8 month’s stopped. Maybe I put fire next week spending lot money with this car
Hi I got sort of same issue with my corsa d 1.3 the fuel pump in tank getting split second of power then dies. Checked the pump and it’s working. Checked all relays and feus all working. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi mate I have corsa 2009 D My car doesnt crank A few mechanic came over and no one knows what is wrong An electrician said ECU water damaged most likely but im not sure Now 2 questions: First how i can make sure the problem is from ECU Second can I buy a complete ICE kit and replace it? Thanks for help
Generally this is ECU fail where the injectors don’t work anymore you can check that , you can buy a whole ECU kit with keys , cluster , nvm and ECU and replace it
Help please needed. My corsa shows permanent fault code injector 3(no power, rough running) injector changed but still the same, swapped injectors over still the same no 3. When I unplug the electric connectors from other injectors engine gets weaker sound wise, but unplugging no 3 does nothing no sound related change . What can this be. Injectors are defo good.. Just no3 port. Do I need to change the whole wiring?
What's your day job again? If you're driving a cab... you're overqualified! =) When I see an ECM board that looks like that... I go no further (I'd mess things up even more)! LOL
Hi just wondering if you know which part on ecu this is fault I’m getting is Capacitor 1 low voltage permanent Car will start but runs with miss fire on injector 1 and 4
thank you for the video..typical vauxhall..poor poor design, water getting in lol..the old corsa c's were a nightmare for the brake servo leak..water coming into car under the pedals and swimming pool arrives..i'm doing my workmates 04 plate in 2 weeks, it is flooded...i can do it in 2 hrs but getting fed up with it lol
I have to agree Paul, in my opinion it’s almost like they do it on purpose it must brings so much revenue to them... hahaha good luck with the Corsa C cheers mate 👍👍👍
I generally try to fix whatever I find that is broken and hope for the best, this ECUs are difficult being a multilayer one sometimes you fix what is in the surface but you can really tell if there is anything wrong in between the layers 👍
Ok on your vid I noticed you had capacitor 1 fault and you seem to fix that, was that the orange color capacitor as I changed the transitor but still getting same fault ecu is very clean inside with minimal water damage
Hi thanks for taking your time to get back to me I decided to take it for ecu repair the guy spent about half hour replacing parts At the cost of £80 put it back on the car and the problem was even worse blowing fuse for pump and ignition and now main relay fault so I opened it back up to find somthing as burned out so looks like it’s now unrepairable thanks to car master auto electrician in Selby
Won’t start first attempt keeps clicking but will second or third attempt problem happens for about a week then goes away for a few weeks then comes back again, car is vauxhall corsa 1.2 diesel 16plate 55k miles.
@@CarsExposed quick question i have the same car is this oil suitable ? Also what are the symptoms that there may be a water blockage in the drain holes next to the ecu ? 👍 rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152436824225

It amazes me that one fuse can keep a car from starting. Oh no, that ECU is a mess. Nice work getting that circuit board cleaned up.
wyattoneable cheers buddy a mess indeed 😊😊😋... This Vauxhall Corsa’s ECU don’t like going for a swim 🏊♀️ 🤣🤣👍👍 cheers
Great job, we really excited to know the end of this history. Thanks guy.
