@@Svistov The message is the exact same. Though the Vietnam war variation is slightly more anti war as that war was more brutal and most soldiers were drafted while those who went into the war against terror were volunteers. But the general message is the same

I agree with everything that this song stands for. The Iraq War was pointless and it did not benefit anyone.

@@rfwmwell, we effectively destroyed ISIS and multiple terror groups in Iraq and we deposed a genocidal dictator, I'm not all too well knowledgeable about the war, but I do believe overall it was a good war, if there ever was one. There actually were protests before we went in to intervene, and then when we intervened we then had people protesting against the intervention.

@@theroundtable6371 They lied to us. They told us it was about 9/11, it wasn't since homeboy Osama was in Afghanistan. They told us it was to disarm Iraq of its WMDs but they didn't find any. Then they said it was for liberation when no Iraqi civilian was asking for it. After that statue of Saddam was toppled by that Abrams, CNN just so happened to turn their cameras off as to not show the chaos that erupted afterwards. Looting took place in the streets of Baghdad with law enforcement expecting the US Military (You know, the guys with the guns and tanks.) To stop the looting. They looted government buildings and ministries. The only ministry US Forces were tasked with protecting was the ministry of oil, as if the objective of the US Government couldn't be anymore clear. And people wonder why everybody hates the West. If this really was a "Mission Accomplished" then why is the Taliban in control of Afghanistan? We ruined the middle east and ruined any chance for civilians to be at peace. We should've just left those mfs alone.

@@theroundtable6371I am an American, my cousin did two tours in Iraq. In my opinion, we should have left Saddam Hussein in power because it stabilized the region and prevented he rise of terrorist organizations into Iraq which only happened after Saddam was gone. Also there was no real objective in Iraq long term and the end result is that terrorist groups still operate there and now Iran funds terrorists through Iraq.

@@Us3r_2005 1. Saddam was a genocidal murderer, "Hitler brought stability to Europe before the communists came and all these uprisings happened in Poland, we should have never stayed in Germany!!!" Your argument is silly at best. 2. The long term objective was to stabilize the region, and I'll give you that we failed, and to establish a democracy with violence, which also failed, so I will concede that our long term goals were unsuccessful and blatantly failed
