I used your 'controlling your opponent' in a recent tourament here in the UK , i didn't get everything right , but i was able to control my movement better and do a good O soto Makikikomi in a win of a match. I found using your method greatly improved my judo..I been practicing your methods now 4 weeks and a great result so far for me. Thank you👍
I already had a basic understanding, but this helped me out even further, correcting my incorrect thoughts that you have to be above average in strength to perform a throw. Great video!
do ye have randori videos of randori in club ..to show how it all works what you demostrate in your videos ..i would be interested to view if so..I presume your students fight the way you teach. ? i learn a heck of a lots from your videos...Thanks
I don't know judo so my comments are more like questions. First I'd think all movements would start from ground up - and hip being the main mover? Not the hands but more legs? Second question would be countering his movement with a counter strength. He wants to circle, but you prevent it by using your strength. Wouldn't it be easier to let him move and use that force agaist him? More like judo or would that be aikido?
Don't watch this bullsh*t this isn't even close from judo, the guy is a total joke ... He's hurting judo by waisting people's time with no-controle random moves. That should be forbidden for insulting judo and misinform people. "This is how you should do judo" best joke ever... T_T
All movements and all strength actually start from the core muscles, not the legs. The technique he is teaching is actually connecting his hands to his core. As for the second question, it is sensible not to prevent your opponent's movement with your own strength. Preventing your opponent with your strength is antithetical to the philosophy of judo.
Makes not a lot of sense to me, I'm used to body alignment, energy vectors and specific mechanics... Judo needs more of that...not word and letters that don't spell anything.

You Need to show the throw first, then explain how. Please
Yes - it would be better to do that.
