Hello Ian, i am a big fan from Holland. You inspired me during my sickness to pick up modelling again. From you i learned to work with the XPS foam. Thanks for that ! Keep us eager to learn more…. 😃
Wow!!! You pulled off a beauty my friend. The building with all the details, the spray-painting, the sidewalk and the roof absolutely great. Then you go and make a miniature tree from a momma tree. Very clever. Your tank is great. The colors you chose, and the camouflage is beautiful. The figures are awesome and so is the site. I learned a lot of things watching your work and how you went about it. Thank you for sharing. Kudos to you.
Some of the pictures at the end are just outstanding, if they were in black and white they would look like actual historical photos! Nice job as always 💪
Great video! many great tips to use.............the aquarium sand and gravel is a touch of genius, just ordered some from a local supplier and saved a fortune compaired to buying the modellers stuff. And I have enough to last me a lifetime now. Thanks for sharing.
Saw this pop up in my subs the other day. Saved it for the weekend, now enjoying it on a wet Sunday evening with a nice large glass of red wine. Sure it will be another outstanding diorama. Thanks for making these inspiring videos. Edit: My fav is still a Bridge not so far. Loved the use of the resin printer in that.
Can't believe I missed this 4 weeks ago!!! Definitely a great surprise when I found it, absolutely superb my friend 👍 The printed doors, windows with made to measure shutters, guttering and downpipes turn an otherwise ordinary front to something that really POPS
Bravo pour cette campagne de France 1940 !! j'adore vos dioramas et suis régulièrement sur cw modelling pour apprendre et me perfectionner ! encore Merci
Thanks for this video CW!!! Its been a frantic week and tomorrow I get to work on my stuff, and this video got me in the perfect mindset to do it!! Watching you do the door and windows and all the wood work reminded me of how much I can just relax and enjoy it, instead of hurriedly thinking of all the things I wanted to get done this weekend. Thank You. Take Care, Bill
I love your work and I could watch you for hours because you entertain me with your skill. You are on another level my friend so please, please carry on, many thanks for sharing 👍
Hi ,this surely ranks amongst your best work to date. having commented on all but of few of your works of recent couple of years, i am once more rendered almost speechless. your continuous improvement is beyond all but a few. Realism on the close ups is extraordinary and the poise of individuals lends movement and character. Thank you Ian, for a most entertaining 1 hour +. ATVB2U as always. Scott Somerset
Great job, enjoyed the build of the house. I would have added some ivy and foliage to the building for extra effect... I think it would look nice.... I think I made my comment too soon...should have waited until it was over.... but I was right... looks so much more realistic. Thanks for the tip on the figures, need to check out Dynamo Models to see what they have for the Normandy ruin I am planning myself....
Your dioramas are always excellent, but I have to say in my opinion you’re buildings are the best I have ever seen from scratch !! Thanks for another great video aswel 👍🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Very nice video for a masterly work. The house already is great on its own. Terrain representation as well as then the French tank and the figures. Outstanding, Ian. The exhibitions call for such dioramas. Greetings, Joachim
Moin🤘🏻 As my mate de Tilo says. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Simply awesome. I love your house building and diorama making. Simply mega. Greetings from the Bastel 🤘🏻Bude
As always an excellent vid and teaching tool. Your work continues to intrigue and improve. Attention to detail and skill are off the chart mate. Your friend Mick from down under
Hi Ian. You knocked it out of the park with this one... again! You should give classes and teach the art of diorama building. Come to think of it... ...how do you feel about me coming to England as a live-in apprentice???😁
Some incredible, detailed, and lifelike work. Do the French doors typically not have handles on the outside? The thumbnail photo and description drew me in; but when looking at the length of the video, I thought that there was no way I would watch it all. Then, it just mesmerized me. Your work is excellent! How long did it take to create this piece? Thank you for sharing.
I'm glad you enjoyed watching......sometimes you forget small things like door handles😉.....I think this took around 6 weeks working mostly at weekends 👍
Perfect job, you're very skilled! but if I had to make any constructive critical point of any detail, it would be that the diagonal supports on shutters, gates, doors etc, should point from the outside edge and go down toward the hinge side.
Watching you makes me realize how I used WAAAYYY too much glue when I am assembling. As you were putting the CA glue on the tank I was thinking that there's no way you were going to leave it like that. But I started thinking harder and realized that those pieces weren't going anywhere, ever. If you can learn one tip a video, you will be a much better modeler in the end. If there is an end. Even the pro's like you probably still come up with new tricks all the time!
Amazing work my friend. A really enjoyable video too. One small criticism, if I may? There are no foot or hoof prints. Also, the soldiers boots are too clean for that road surface. Please don't think I am being nasty - far from it!! Keep modelling, and stay well. Kindest regards Andy
Hi I love your work it's great. I am just starting to get back into diorama modelling but have struggled to find good quality xps foam. Do you have any suppliers you could recommend? Thanks Chris
Hello. Great video of « how to » and what a beautiful results.. Thanks for sharing. - little question : What is the black foam type you used / hobby shop ? it looks perfect for the stone engraving. The after aging process look sooo nice. Thanks J-Yves
EVERYTHING IN PERFECTION THIS IS A NO HOLD BAR ONE OF THE VERY BEST DIORAMAS , JUST NO CAT .
The house is incredible. Fantastic work.

I don't know for sure but sand for bird cages may be even cheaper - I recently bought 2 pounds for $1.50.
@@MikeUSA67 I'm in Sweden and I got a 10kg bag of fine sand for the equivalent of $10 a bag, good tip though with bird cage sabd

Sir, Your eye for detail in the weathering on the doors and windows is simply phenomenal..they looked so real! I love watching your builds..
Excellent detail the worn doorstep. As if many people crossed it over the years.
These details make the diorama so lifelike.
Thanks.....it makes it worthwhile when people notice things like that but its also good when people don't as it means things look right 👍
I always find your work inspirational. It motivates me to continue trying harder. Thank you!
great diorama with Excellent figures and tank.
This is really excellent. You never disappoint with your creations.
Absolutely outstanding, first class.
Ya no se que decir....espectacular,perfecto,maravilloso.....aplaudo de pie.....felicitaciones!!!!!!

@@CWModelling It is still exquisite, perhaps even more so. Truly museum quality work.
May I ask, when attaching the vines to the side of the house are you using hair spray. Thank you
Yes, correct👍
Wonderful work 11 out of ten 👍

Great job, I can only imagine to make such a fantastic scenery. I am wondering the thickness of copper board you used for gutter.
Thanks.......I'm not sure of the exact thickness but its something like 0.1mm👍

splendide, !!
Super vidéo ! Quelle est la marque de votre support en mousse ?
Thanks....no brand, its just XPS foam sheets bought from Ebay👍
Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse ! Continuez à proposer des beaux sujets historiques comme vous le faites !😇🙏
Superbe travail, pour un réalisme époustouflant (sauf pour les volets, qui sont malheureusement à l'envers).
Bravo
" EXCEPTIONNEL!!! "
Very good job!
It's perfect!
Would watch a forged in fire type show about making dioramas.
Superbe !!!🤗👌👍✌️🙂😉
very good!👍🏻👍🏻
Hello, can you tell us please about the measurements? Length Width Heights. Dimensions of doors and windows.
Another excellent, informative and entertaining video showcasing your undoubted talent Ian. What do you do with your finished dioramas?
Thanks.....I have them on display at home👍
Wonderfull !!!
Hi I love your work it's great. I am just starting to get back into diorama modelling but have struggled to find good quality xps foam.
Do you have any suppliers you could recommend? Thanks Chris

Thanks.....its 10mm XPS Insulation foam bought from Ebay👍
Hello. Congratulations on your wonderful work. Where do you get the 10mm XPS Foam and how do you cut it to 1mm? Thank you very much.
Thanks.....I buy the foam from Ebay and use a Proxxn Hot Wire table to cut thinner strips off it👍 th-cam.com/video/oRzuxO77yuk/w-d-xo.html
Thank you very much for your time. Yes, I saw the video 🤦while I was looking through your dioramas.
Whenever I see something like this, I'm always inspired to never try anything like that myself as mine would look terrible...
All I'd say is keep practicing.....thats all I do👍
@D Anderson Keep in mind, these are professionals.
Just get started!, practice makes perfect. Patience and perseverance will get you far. 😉👍
Amazing!!
