Sir, in our text books why're they given Newton's second law as F=-kx instead of F=ma?? And what's the relation between shm and Newton's law?
F=ma , this is Newton's second law. When an object is accelerated, it experience a force mass times acceleration. This is holdshoood in the case of dynamic system. Whereas in case of static condition, for example, if you stretch a spring of stiffness K and it is moved by a distance x results a force F=Kx. Former one is dynamic and later one is static. But are forces only
