Something I've told my friends (who really seem to want me married ASAP) is that I didn't even know who I was to realize what being equally yoked looked like. I didn't think much of myself. God legit gave me a list of traits my husband will have (I was hype, he sounds great) and it took months for me to realize the list described me, too 🤦🏿‍♀️. I wouldn't have felt worthy of him if he showed up early. I'm grateful for the process 😊

Amen! These are things that I've been working on the last couple years. If I never get married what am I going to do with my time, what is my purpose. Praise God He has been helping me and showing me this!
Very encouraging! I'm going to keep focusing on how I can serve God and better myself as a person and not focus on wanting to get married. There is way more to life than marriage especially as a single person!

Yes for sure! There is nothing wrong with the desire for marriage but God is definitely wanting to make sure your life experience is valuable and enjoyable before He even brings you a mate.

You are right. Does the verse after that say a woman can not find a husband? Does it say anywhere in the Bible that a woman can not find a husband? We need to stop adding things to the Bible that are not there. This person in proverbs spoke from a perspective on the benefits of a man finding a wife. Period. No need to add what is not there or take away from what is. Also, men wrote the book of proverbs so they are speaking from a male perspective. As a married woman in a happy, whole Christian marriage I can say it is also true that a woman who finds a husband is favored by God. And if I wrote the book of proverbs I would have said it that way. And also, Ruth in the Bible who we all love and respect very clearly and intentionally pursued Boaz to make him her husband.
