- Bunchberry Meadows Conservation Area is a very special place, located in the Devon Dunes Environmentally Significant Area. The close proximity of the Bunchberry Meadows Conservation Area to the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary, North Saskatchewan River Valley, and the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens provides a significant habitat corridor and greater landscape connectivity in the region for wildlife.
Located approximately 30 kilometres outside of downtown Edmonton, this 640-acre conservation site is made up of old-growth forests, open meadows, grasslands and wetlands. The forest supports jack pine, which is habitat for northern flying squirrels, porcupines and long-tailed weasels. This is an ideal and special conservation area to visit and connect with nature.
It has 4 signed, easy hiking routes that make up about 8.6 km of connected trails, which are open to the public for year-round foot access. Aspen Parkland Trail is the main loop in the park from which all other hiking trails diverge. The Blueberry Connector Trail (0.39 km) cuts across part of the loop, providing a shorter alternative to the full Aspen Parkland Trail.
For a longer walk, you can combine a portion of Aspen Parkland Trail with Tamarack Trail (3.33 km). The out and back Meadow View Trail (0.53 km), which branches off from Tamarack Trail, can also be included as part of this longer hike in Bunchberry Meadows.

I did see a squirrel, playing not flying 😄 who stool still when we were about to pass by and immediately ran after 😂.
There’s a deep wetland behind that dangerous drop, enter at your own risk. Ha! We ignored that warning!

End of autumn kasi yan sissy kaya ganon ang itsura ng mga dahon at puno. Pagdating ng spring and summer, yayabong uli sila and I would love to go back sa season na yun :)
