Winter is a time to dream and reflect. Take a peaceful moment to sit by a fire and gaze at the stars. Send a message to the world on a Wish Tree. Light a candle for a loved one in Memory Lane.
Winter dreams of celebration. Immerse yourself in a joyful animated light display set to music in the dramatic Aga Khan Garden. Celebrate Indigenous experience, including a new sculpture by noted artist Jason Carter. Say hello to the illuminated Snow Sprites and bow to a beautiful Snow Queen. Eat, drink and be merry! Indulge in a beverage at the Ice Bar, or some food and drink at the Patio Cafe.
Celebrating 50 years of friendship. 2021 marks a significant milestone year for the Friends of the University of Alberta Botanic and as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, the Friends are co-hosting Luminaria.
