Hello Jenny!🥰I am so glad this journal inspires you! It is rather addictive cutting up & gluing down all those fabric bits, and how interesting it feels when you brush your fingers over the finished page. Happy crafting to you!🤗💕
New subscriber. What a lovely creation. Very well designed. I like all the special details. I am normally a practical designer. My journals are made to be written in but lately I am entertaining the concept of journals that are made to look at and enjoy like this one or a glue book. There is something very appealing about finding images and fabric or trim pieces and just assembling them for the pure pleasure of being inspired by color and design. Yours came to life! You also have plenty of room to add more fabrics if you so choose. I also enjoy listening to your narrative. Thank you for the inspiration.
Love love love your journal/book !!! Thank you for sharing this... its so very inspiring. I love the flow of it. The swatches are awesome too. I never knew about barbarba johnson and her lovely book... which is quite pricey so also thank you for sharing it with us!
A terrific idea. I recently learned of Color Cube. I think to make my own swatch book using magazine photos. I would pick out a color combination from the photo and make color swatches. So your goal to inspire worked! Hooray!
Nice! Thank you for your comment! I have 6 huge journals filled with magazine pics & other published bits I've literally lugged around for many, many years for inspirational reference. Used lots of scotch tape in those days. 😃 Pinterest is so much easier🥰
@@mylittlemainecottagestudio Ahha! We use Pinterest as a place to put our Christmas wish lists. Pinterest is a bazaar of great ideas, yes? Still, it’s good to have tangible things. I MUST put the flat stuff I collected for decades into books. Maybe my daughter will find it interesting or inscrutable after I’m gone. Maybe she’ll laugh. I’d want her to laugh. Maybe I’ll create a library of Mara, like those presidential libraries. So funny! 😀
This is a beautiufl journal and so inspiring. I love making and using junk journals. I have been wondering how to keep track, of my fabric and trims, that I use in my slow stitching and other projects, and you have inspired me :) New subbie, thanks so much :)
