I use jars for mixing small quantities and my stick blender, heating in pot of water in jar. Since I'm avoiding dairy currently I use coconut milk canned, drain off the water to have it thicker, can be whipped like cream.
That’s such a clever approach! Using jars for mixing and your stick blender sounds so efficient, and heating in the jar itself is genius. Coconut milk is a fantastic dairy-free option if you can't digest dairy, and draining the water for a thicker consistency is a great tip-especially since it can be whipped like cream! Thanks for sharing your process!
Okay, I said I'd leave a comment after I made this so here I am. I made this last night and it was delicious! It is thick and creamy and comforting and SO easy. I didn't make the whipped cream clouds for it but I will at some point. It's a perfect warm drink to cozy up with and I will be DEFINITELY be making it again. Thank you, Severine 😋
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear you loved it and found it so comforting and easy to make. The whipped cream clouds are a fun touch whenever you're ready to try them, but it sounds like it was already perfect without them! Knowing you'll be making it again truly warms my heart. Cheers to more cozy, delicious moments-you're so welcome! 💖✨
Just want to point out, Elm Lee is cream mixed with seed oil. I wouldn't touch it. Sneaky . I always read the ingredients. Nice recipe. I will use real cream, it looks lush xxxx
Thank you so much for sharing this information! To be honest, this isn’t the cream I normally use, but it was the only option left at the store, and I was so desperate to make eggnog. I just checked the ingredients, and I can confidently say I won’t be buying this brand again! I truly appreciate the heads up-thank you again!
@severineskitchen I nearly got caught out too. A queue at the checkout left me bored and I read the ingredients as it has a long shelf life and low and behold seed oils. I am trying this delicious recipe with real cream. Thank you for sharing xxx
You’re absolutely right-this is such an important reminder! No matter how familiar or simple a product may seem, checking the ingredients is always worth it. It’s amazing (and sometimes frustrating) what sneaks in there, like seed oils. I’m so glad you’re giving this recipe a try with real cream-it makes all the difference! Thank you for sharing your experience, and enjoy the delicious results! xxx 😊💖
Looks delicious and I can't wait to try it! Christmas is around the corner and I am determined not to indulge in sugar and carbs this year. I'll leave a comment after I make it.
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m so excited for you to try it, and I love your determination to stay on track this holiday season-that’s amazing! 🎄✨ I can’t wait to hear how it turns out for you. Wishing you a joyful and healthy Christmas! 💖
💯 I completely agree with you! It was a mistake on my part-I usually stick to another brand, but this was the only option available, and I didn’t check the ingredients closely. Definitely a mistake I won’t repeat! Thanks for confirming that Elmlea isn’t a natural brand.

I was going to post this too. I had same issue a month ago needing cream to make fluff, and all they had was that stuff. No fluff!😂

My pleasure 😊
Thank you for this. I love eggnog and I'm definitely going to try this!
You are so welcome! Let me know how you find it 😊
Yummy 🤤
So good 🤤
Note: Elmlea is NOT cream, it is butter milk and veg oil. Most people eating healthy, avoid veg oils. Get some real cream, don't use that crap!
