Morocco: How the movies saved Aït Benhaddou M A

- In the last of nine videos from Morocco I visit Aït Benhaddou, a spectacular barely inhabited 1,000-year-old village on a hill rising out of the high desert in the country's southeast near the border with Algeria.
Aït Benhaddou is an old Berber ksar, or fortified town, with a classic watchtower/grain storehouse at its summit and whose architecture has changed little in more than 10 centuries. It's a storybook desert settlement that appears straight out of a movie. And for good reason, since countless motion picture and television projects have been filmed here.
In fact, if not for support from the motion picture industry this World Heritage Site and almost-ghost town might not have survived until now.

Thanks Ron. we're glad you came............and left with (hopefully) long lasting memories. Safe travels.....
Many thanks AC! I have enough great memories of Morocco to last until the next time I come. :-)
Great series! I guessed Egypt! You'll see many more "sheep" there, I'm sure.😅 Have a safe trip, Ron!❤
Thanks Jack! Nothing wool in my suitcase. :-)
As you’ve found, it’s sometimes best to leave the fold and adventure out on your own. Great series from Morocco👍🏻 Looking forward to Egypt👏🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
Thanks G! Breaking away from the fold is where the fun begins. -:)
