Retired Boilermaker, I gotta say I do not miss working outside at all. I was always put in the mud drum(I was young and still fit through the man way) to set and roll tubes, roll roll your tubes.

Great video, but a little too fast to see the details. When you put the tubes in place, how do you hold them in place before rolling/welding them?
They are held in place until they are affixed
What boiler type is this? A?
Also this is a great opportunity to ask, when the tubes have failed and are leaking at top of mud drums, what the best way to repair on a packaged boiler like this one? Also is there a recommended NDT method to detect this issue?
Yes this is an "A" style boiler
Usually when a tube or few is a problem they are plugged. This of course de-rates the boiler some. However it keeps it on-line. If the problem is too far gone the tubes would have to be replaced and based on the design, there's just now cutting corners to this one..

how long does that take in real time?
This time lapse was taken over several weeks and in several phases. As I recall this project was over the course of 10-12 weeks.
