Interesting looking at this end of 2023. Some went to the RWC, some have debuted while others haven't for various reasons. Would be interesting to see the same for new Springboks 2024
Pretty close👏. Tambwe and Tshituka would've been selected if they were eligible. Grobbies is defs joining later in the year. And nobody really saw Mchunu or Deon Fourie coming anyway. Well done
@@simpslayer7839 I think it's more of a bureaucratic issue. A specific legal status that they don't currently have and can't get due to Home Affairs dragging their heels
Madosh said he has a South African Passport and if you didn't see Mchunu coming through you didn't see the potential he has, he has speed and strength.
@@boikymcclain449 They did bring up Tambwe in one of the interviews. It's not an SA passport, but does allow him to work, travel, ect. More of a 'letter of the law' situation with World Rugby tying their hands. Don't get me wrong, I really like Mchunu, but they rarely pick Springboks based on potential. Roos wasn't even considered until after the Glasgow win, Coetzee and Gelant likely wouldn't be there either if they didn't get their teams into the URC final and Grobbies was omitted dispite being the MotM in that Semi against Leinster and the Dream Team #2. If you compare what they had to do just to get into the camp, a call-up for a 22 year old prop is pretty extraordinary (especially considering they prefer older props)

I get they weren’t born in South Africa, but they came to the country at a very young age and have been here for more than a decade

How can you not include Dayimane? His speed and hands are incredible!
Future looks good
Grobbelaar and Steenkamp
Reuben v. Heerden.
All I want is my Cornal back in green and gold. Best center in the country.
Pepsi Buthelezi ???? No fizz no power too small and frail ...
Williams is lightning quick..
Some of these guys are just too small for international rugby and individualism is rarely seen at that level
Which ones?
