This is just fuckin based from beginning to end. I especially appreciated your answer about feelings in response to the happiness question, and your statements about using the word "love" rang true to me. Glad you're feeling better!
@Thorin, I don't have the money to support you financially but I have followed your content since around 6-7 years and I just want to say thank you for your work. You teached me a lot about having principles and to stand up for them even in the most difficult situations. I wish you all the best and hopefully I can support you financially in future as well.
In the same vein as one of the questions, I too sort of lost interest in esports recently, after it was one of my biggest hobbies for almost 10 years. I feel like I would've stayed around for max 3-4 years if it wasn't for all of this content. I am throughly enjoying this side channel, I was here when you first launched it a few years ago. Excited to see more content
The part from 12:50 really hit me at the right moment, this mentality is so extremely key to overcoming negative emotions that might otherwise hinder you progressing in whatever you do.
Hi Its Jack. Thank you for answering my question, the ultimate value of your insight is now I can revisit this advice whenever I try to gain a new perspective as I grow. Much respect.
For those interest the book recommended in the first answer is ‘The Elements of Style’ by Strunk & White. I can also highly recommend it to anyone wishing to improve as a writer. It’s also cheap, small, and a very easy read.
I just want to put a PSA out there. Strunk and White is not the be-all end-all for writing. Their rules are similar to what you find in high school. Their rules are frequently ignored by good and great writers. It's perfectly acceptable to end a sentence with a preposition. Many but not all can afford to take a university or community college class or two on writing, which is something that I would suggest. Above all else, don't waste your money on Grammarly. Learn to be a good writer yourself.
funny to hear you reference "the style of writing" stylistic writing is lost on many of my peers, they find it pointless i kept listening and now my point feels moot, some crazy shit got discussed in this video
To your first answer, I'm not pulled towards anything I dive into a hobby and then burn out as soon as I reach a peak. Never found a passion or anything like that. Pretty much a jack of all trades unfortunately it's not fulfilling.
47:59 I don't understand these people, how do they not realize that if they talk shit about even their best friends then everyone knows they talk shit about them as well.
The Charls Carrol podcasts amongst others on this channel have legitimately changed the direction of my life. The value here is unbelievable.
same. do you have any other episode reccomendations aside from Charls?
This side channel really changed my life for the better.
Thank you

What's going on with Thorins shoulder? I've never noticed it moving like that when he did CS live events.
