Got my figures this week due to QC issues causing delay. Out of my four figures in the wave, 2 had leg issues. He-man was fine, Skelly was fine, Hordak's left leg was stuck ridged and She-Ra............well, she is just one hell of a floppy mess. her legs are so bad she won't stand at all.
Very cool Hordak action figure, I really liked Hordak when I was young and he has cool gang and powerful foe to face off with. The animated show was really cool too. Awesome video Michael, you so totally rock.
About the small, plastic nowadays is tottally different from the ones in the 80's. O lot changed on how it is manufactured, the chemicals and process. Even they way they burn is different. Current ones polute less and are safer, but yeah, it does not feel the same in several ways.
At $20-$30 a pop, these figures could break my bank trying to "collect em all," BUT I did find a nice alternative for my 7 year old daughter. $19 on Amazon gets you a 5 pack of the Mega Construx "Lego compatible" figures. They look gorgeous for their size and have hinges at the elbows and knees!
Great review, thanks for posting! Fun to collect vicariously through these! :-) Somehow I'm disappointed to hear that "new toy smell" is absent. Olfactory stimuli is such a big part of triggering memories... I know exactly the smell you mean when cracking toys open back then. Nothing else quite like it!
Hordak was a step up from Skeletor in the evil department. It is too bad that accessories on the Super 7 version don't seem to fit well in his hands or mounted on the wrist. Thanks for another great review. I wish you and your loved ones a happy Easter!
As someone who never liked the original Merman figure, that filmation merman is probably the only one I'll be grabbing. I had been seriously considering this line before Mattel announced their new better articulated cheaper line coming out in what, fall of 2020? Pretty sure they just shot Super 7 in the foot on purpose. Do you want a cartoon style vintage beast man now for $20, or do you want an articulated vintage beast man in a year for $15?
Great review! But wish a proper ball & socket design had been implemented for the hips. These figures are triple the price for overseas collectors, so the fragile hip design is extra painful when it fails. 2 of my 4 figures broke within minutes of (careful) handling. Super7 knows how to make cool toys, but often their overall quality isn't much better than a bootleg toy; speaking as a long time customer here.
Thanks! The design of the hips are great but the execution didn't live up to it. Might be a good idea to switch back to the rubber legs, or ball joint that can be popped out.
Preordered 1st wave months ago never got shera.2nd wave was supposed to be here middle March still nothing. Very disappointed with super 7. I was looking forward to this line I love Masters of the Universe

Hordak has to be one of the best villains. He-Man has his work cut out, he fought Skeletor, the Snake Men and Hordak. Poor guy.

Didn't know about Hordak being blue until recently as we didn't get the Filmation series. He looks good in blue.

Nice review i jus ordered mine on Amazon. I wanit the filmation classic but his price jus sky rocketed. 160 bucks for 6.5 inch figure aint justified.

I just cant get past how these rereleases are. The heads paint job is a bit off and compared to the originals they look like a fake knock-off
