Lunenburg: CUTEST town in CANADA? 🇨🇦 - NOVA SCOTIA day trip (Bluenose, BBQ & Maple ICE CREAM)

- In this week's travel vlog we explore Lunenburg, one of the cutest towns in Canada! Join us on our Nova Scotia day trip where we visit the Bluenose and eat BBQ and Maple Ice cream!
Lunenburg is the perfect day trip from Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's a picturesque little town located on Nova Scotia's south shore, which is a wonderful place to spend a few hours on a sunny summer day.
We start strolling along the waterfront of Lunenburg before we go onboard of the Bluenose 2, a replica of the original fishing and racing schooner, which is also pictured on the Canadian dime. After admiring the beautiful colorful houses in Lunenburg we eat some lunch at Smoke Pitt BBQ where we devour delicious Beef Brisket, Jerk Chicken Tacos, creamy Mac and cheese, and a piece of fluffy corn bread. We then get an amazing Maple Ice cream cone from Sweet Treasures Confectionery for dessert. Next, we make a stop at Ironworks Distillery where we sample a couple local liqueurs made out of Nova Scotian blueberries and rhubarb.
We end our day in Lunenburg at the first established church in Lunenburg, St. John's Anglican Church.

They haven't done it in a few years, but in the fall they used to host a spirits festival called Spirited Away.
They would bring in mixologists and reps from distilleries from across Nova Scotia for a weekend in which workshops would be held. My (and wife's) favorite was a rum history lesson done right on one of the old rum running schooners during the prohibition days.
That sounds awesome! We'd love something like that.

Hahaha. Yeeeeah, the East Coast of Canada isn't exactly known for their BBQ. 😆
We featured seafood in the two previous videos, so we wanted to show something different. It definitely wasn't bad, but with taxes and tip the meal was almost $90CAD. For that pricetag, we were expecting the meat quality to be a bit better.

We were SUPER lucky. This WAS last summer, and the weather was all over the place when we visited. Haha. We had to make sure to film this, and the Halifax video in just a few hours, to avoid bad weather.
