There are some floating ice thingies in the water, currently - he's probably sitting on one of those. We'll probably need a special ship to get through them.
Microsoft got timed console exclusivity. I will buy it again if it releases on Switch and PS5, I've already bought 5 copies, what's two more to support and amazing game and company.
What worries me is what kinda of enemy we will face there. In Ashlands, we get really strong. And simulate that first arrival in Ashlands way more difficult is kinda hard
I think they said due to complaints about how hard it is when you first try to get to Ashlands and get a foot hold in Ashlands, they don't plan the deep north to be quite as difficult.
They said it would have similar difficulty to the Ashlands, but be much more relaxed. I think that's a good thing. The Ashlands has great combat, but it's constant fighting. Hard to enjoy the area the way we could with the Plains or Mountains or Swamps.
After not being able to get into video games like I used to, I stumbled upon Valheim and played it for over 100 hours. It is so immersive! But after the plains, I got bored as the game loop was just too simple. I wish they'd focus on adding more dynamic events rather than new biomes. Make the old biomes re-visitable. Make the enemies smarter and less predictable. Also, personally I hated all the biomes where you couldn't see well and used mods to lift the fog.
Great news/content as always! Stoked on the Deep North. But also stoked for speed runners to have an ending to speed run to. As well as maybe an achievement speed run.
So nice to see. Mistlands and Ashlands were both big disappointments, stressful and felt out of cannon. It feels really good that Deep North brings us back to the Valheim feel again. Can’t wait to try it.
It looks like the black forest covered in snow, I'm actually wondering if a frost takes over the land, perhaps we get winter everywhere and that's actually what the black forest looks like while it happens...? Wild guess but check out the seasonality mod and how the biomes look with snow on it. That rounded topped pine also sort of looks like the top of a dead pine from the swamps...
i want iron gate to make a underwater biome as well as sky biome like after you beat the boss of the deep north it will give you what you need to make/repair a diving bell to do underwater exploration in the ocean and while your down there you can make like a diving suit that you would see in spongebob and then you would gain some sort thing to get into the sky like you could fight a flying fish that would give you its wings for flight or if beat a kraken or something it would drop a weapon to go hunt flying fish or whatever and then we climb up a ygdrassil branch/root in the mistlands that takes up in to biome called the ygdrassil skys or some shit and then we could explore that. woundnt that be cool it owuld also open up the possibility for a second game or a dlc since you could then leave valheim through these branches.
I really like this game... but the ashenland updates just wasn't it. I absolutly hate this area. Everything is just so annoying, you can't see very much, just like in the mistlands. Enemies constantly chase or attack you, travsersing is a pain... everything is just pain, even on lowest difficulty. Furthermore, I jump from 200fps all the way down to like 30 sometimes... HOW?! This is unplayable, when you consider you getting chased by thousands of annoying dogs and skeletons. If the Deep North is just another ashenlands 2.0, maybe even with snow storms so you can see less than in the mistlands, then I wont play this anymore. Valheim AMAZING Game... until Yagluth.
Im so excited for this update but i think after this valheim will be complete and that makes me sad to know nothing new will come to the game after the deep north.
Weiss man eigentlich schon ob die Entwickler nach der Vollversion weiter machen? Oder vielleicht noch DLC‘s erscheinen? Wie cool wäre es, wenn man über den Weltenbaum in eine neue Welt gelangen könnte..
I just killed the queen, but for some reason the game has decided the use 100% of my cpu now. So while I’m excited about the new biome update, I’m scared I won’t be able to play it because the snow is going to make it unplayable.
I don't even have a graphics card and it runs fine for me what the hell are you playing on? I do get a little bit of lag when its raining or blizzarding and my poor laptop starts to get hot but thats it. Have intel HD 520, like 10 years old
I imagined the Deep North with more ice, glaciers, barren without much vegetation... like Antarctica or something. I don't really want a Black Forest 2.0 like these pics suggest. But hey, I trust the devs, I'm sure it'll end up as great as the rest of the game!
I know the development blog called this a "little Yule card from the Deep North", but I can't help but feeling like we're being tricked or deceived here. These images make me feel like we're in the Meadows looking into the Black Forest, complete with a Meadows-like structure. I wonder if they would go down the route of having the Ashlands boss drop something that calls forth winter (Fimbulvetr?) that actually affects other biomes and is necessary to venture to the Deep North.
@@grazzhopper6799Well in the early development phase people like to stick to their little phrases that sum up the tone of whatever they're making. It makes sense that's what they're sticking with but I agree it's kind of annoying when it's constantly thrown at you

True
yeah
I quite like the black forest actually, despite it being a mono biome. Can't put my finger on why, but there it is.
What does mono biome mean?
If we don't get a bear mobs in the deep north I'm gunna be as disappointed as the "Add Bikes to Valheim" guy. I NEED that bear head cloak!
Imagine tameable and rideable bears!
imagine tameable bikes

I'm still out here hoping Valheim gets a PS5 release. More people need to experience the serenity and fun of the game
Perhaps after 1.0?
Wait it’s not on PS5?!

Snowball throwing Bumbles that bounce!
They need to rework how snow works. If you build high in the meadows then your roof will be covered in snow despite it being a summer biome

For $20 it has been an amazing ride. If they make any further games I'll be interested.
They have said they will add some content to the existing biomes after 1.0. But no, no new biomes if that's what you mean.
I hope they make a couple of DLCs.. I'd be willing to pay for them as long as they're as big as the each biome update...
Will I have to start a new save to get this?

im sure deep north will be more uplifting to play than ashland ..:) cant wait

Unfortunately they've said that after 1.0 releases there will be no new biomes or bosses. Maybe some smaller updates but very unlikely.
@@dumfu you’re spreading misinformation! they confirmed that they will go back and flush out/add content to all of the old biomes after 1.0’s release

@ I’m on a pretty good gaming pc, middle of the road id say. I might need to just clean out my pc, I’ve been neglecting that for a while.

So this doesn't have to be the final biome. Considering the tree up in the sky could be more massive than it seems.
