Hi France and Liverpool fan here, reason upamecano is ahead of konate is very simple, Ibou hasn’t played enough games, and upamecano has been consistent for France, only error he made was pen vs Poland, other than that he’s been unreal and only conceded 1 goal in 4 games. Upamecano deserves huge respect for his performances
Love ibou but very up and down this year.. Very injury prone aswell
The way you Liverpool fans try an big up Konate like he's top draw is laughable, you know Konate averges 15 league starts a season, that's 45 league starts in 3 seasons? Konate only has 16 clean sheets in his starts over the last 3 seasons, why so low? Saliba got 18 league clean sheets last season? Konate is average, hence his 15 starts a season, even the 2nd half of the season he was dropped for Quansah 😂
ok then and what happened to france defence last night m8 without konate then? they all said france have the best defence in the tournament right yet spain made them look average with saliba 🤔 I am not saying saliba should not play either btw however your opinion on konate is wrong when he plays he is quality he is a far better player than quansah it is just a case of fitness is the big problem with him I am not saying sailba is not the best french cente back he is imo maybe they should just play konate ahead of upmemcano then the french national team?
That’s not why he has that many starts. He is injury prone so times he isn’t playing comes down to him being injured. If he was injury free he would be starting every game. He is a good player and could become better but I think he is better than Upamecano, should have been Konate & Saliba as the CB’s
