Brilliant!! also found you thru Connie Stewart, and this box is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I also have a ton of scrap paper, not so great quality but I can practice making these!! adorable for teacher's little gifts as well, thank yous, just adored it!!
The box is just adorable. I give a lot of gift cards as Christmas gifts so this would be ideal! Connie Stewart spoke about you in one of her e-mails so I thought I would look you up. And I am glad I did. I just subscribed to your TH-cam subscription so I will be able to follow you. Thank you for sharing this great box.
Thank you so much for sharing. Love the idea of being able to fold it flat. I'll be traveling @ Christmas and it makes it so much easier to pack the box separately from the gift and then quickly insert the gift and it looks as though you had this nice little gift w/ you traveling across the country. :-D
I have made the box and love it!! I did find that the converted inches should be as follows: Cut size = 9" x 6.5" Score long side at 1", 4", 5" and 7" Score short side at .5", 1.5", 5" and 6". This results in a box with a depth of one inch and inside measurement of 3" x 3.5".. What a great little gift box!!
I am using Martha Stewart' s scoring board and I also did it the old fashion way using a ruler. I will try checking out your other video. No big deal, just was frustrated because it didn't turn out right. I have other ways to make boxes, just thought this was neat. Thanks for sharing.
Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this .... I might have to make this too and see which type works best. Saying that I've just bought 750 pieces of card to make the other type!!
I have tried making this twice using inches and it does not line up right at the side where you attach it. I was very careful with the scoring so something isn't right. Any suggestions? Does not fold down flat. The flaps that tuck in are not right either. I have to cut off alot for them to fit in the box. Anyone else have a problem?
I followed Sam's video and my box came out a perfect 3" square but when I tried your measurements because 3" x 3.5" is exactly what I was looking for but it didn't even come close...hmmmmm, wonder what it is I'm doing wrong.
The scoring measurements for the short side are given as 5/8", 1 5/8", 5" and 6". This cannot be correct because the measurement of this side is 6 1/2" That means that one side of the box would fold at 5/8" and 1 5/8" while the other side of the box folds at 1/2" and 1 1/2". Mind you I haven't made the box yet.....:-).....just trying to work it out in my mind before I do. Will post after I make it. Thanks for the instructions and video!!
Lol, I'm American, I use inches, but, I also use centimeters. I don't like the 8ths breakdown, so I'll use your centimeters instead. It's not that we can't use metric.. We're American, we are usually just to lazy. I think most of us would switch up to the centimeters, rather than looking for those 8th measurements. 😁😁😁😁
Finally someone who use cm instead of inches !!! Thanks a lot for sharing it, it's awesome.
Even more fabulous to share yet another size! TFS and have a great day.
Great little box, I love the idea of making a few and storing them flat. Tfs ... Yvonne :)
