Why The U.S. Is Getting Serious About UFOs

  • For decades, much of the conversation around UFOs has been confined to science fiction movies and novels. In the absence of government commentary on the topic, conspiracy theories around the US concealing alien life and technology in secret compounds like Area 51 have run rampant.
Investigation into UFOs in the United States can be traced as far back as the late 1940s, but much of this early information was classified to the public. This is changing. In response to mounting public pressure and potential national security questions, a flurry of government activity over the last few years has been aimed at demystifying UFOs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena as the military has rebranded UFOs.

Thank you CNBC for mustering the courage to report on this. Your professor from AZ needs to come up to speed on what's going on before you interview him again. Accusing David Grusch of spouting hearsay when he was simply doing his job collecting evidence and giving said evidence to us that the US paid him to collect is not right. Also telling us Roswell was a balloon at this point in the narrative is just silly.

If you depart from the belief that Roswell had to be aliens, and that someone testifying about things he himself said had been told to him (which is the definition of "hearsay") is necessarily correct, because it matches the aforementioned belief, you are not doing scientific research. In science you make an hypothesis, do the research/experiments, draw conclusions and test them repeatedly. You don't start by calling "silly" anything that contradicts what you believe and seek for whatever confirms the belief. That's what conspiracy theorists do.
What the pilots told in that hearing was way more interesting. When you have experienced pilots telling that they saw things they couldn't identify, that's what needs to be investigated.
Trekkie here. Same as the NASA director, I think there is life in the vast universe, and nothing would make me happier than a contact with people from another world - if they aren't hostile, that would be a dream came true. That does not mean to believe that everything we see flying and cannot identify is necessarily a manned alien spacecraft that came here with a mission. That's not a logical conclusion.
Please remember, the USA is not the only country in the world, it has adversaries and enemies. The possibility of foreign technology - and the certainty of local attempts at espionage must be taken into account. Watch some videos of astronautics history. The USA nuked the space. Yep, that happened. Starfish Prime, July 9, 1962, was the largest one, and was a defense idea. Is a spy balloon they couldn't admit they were testing a "silly" thing? Just because you don't believe it?

The professor discounted what many people witnessed which casts dispersion on them. We need to be open on this strange subject. True there have been and will be bad actors in this, but the Professor obviously has not read about the lives of military personnel who were directly involved with the 1947 Roswell incident. He prefers to buy into the government's final official assessment. None of the military personnel who were interviewed in the 50s and 60s bought into the story. They spoke of government and military threats and coercion to shut up or lie about what they experienced.

Incidences increased after the beginning of the atomic age, but have happened throughout history across cultures. I understand how people don’t want their comfortable reality challenged, especially the biblical people. But we are slowly being acclimated to the new paradigm.

If these people of high credibility are in any way connected to the government, the primary thing they have to gain is disinformation.. 1) your covering up your super secret high tech military aircraft as fictional alien technology from both your enemies and the general public. 2) your potentially convincing enemies that you have an an alliance with alien entities and thus access to superior alien tech. 3) If #2 is possible, then you might convince your enemies that in order to 'keep up' they need to make their own attempts to seeking out and forming their own alliance with completely fictional aliens, thus wasting time, money and resources. 4) if #1 is possible, you may can then convince your general public that these aliens are a potential threat, and thus ensure that your already costly defense budget does not decrease and give yourself the potential arguments to increase it.

Unwilling to marry, Kaguya-hime (The Shining Princess) sets her suitors tasks they are unable to fulfill. The emperor desires her, but she reveals that she is from the moon and will soon return there. Although the emperor sends soldiers to guard her, a retinue from the moon arrives and ascends to the moon with her.

Thats not "someone told him". These were apparently very high ranking people and furthermore senator Rubio is on the record that about a dozen or so very high ranking people have been testifying about their first hand accounts before the senate intelligence committee.

The main problem with getting quality data, such as 3- or 4-way confirmations (visual + infrared + plane radar + ground radar) is that it involves exposing the instrumentation, speed, and altitude capabilities (and weaknesses) of military aircraft. If they don’t want to reveal a new tech or the fact that they were over enemy airspace, it will be hushed-up. The military certainly has a wealth of this type of data, but it’s locked up so tight that even members of congress are told to pound sand when they ask about it. And the compartmentalized programs operate such that many above them in the chain of command don’t have knowledge or access.

Dealing with too much data is easy. Having too little is idiocy. Set up a website to take descriptions in typed digital form so an artificial intelligence can sort through them automatically. Have it categorise them into clusters including similar descriptive words, categorise by date and location so reports from one vicinity on the same day can be put together into a report a human will read. Allow digital photo and video downloads to the site and have the AI search through and weed out ones with recognisable patterns of aircraft anti-collision strobes and other common sources of reports from known objects. I can be hired cheap for this project.
