I see the tree tuning pegs on the side for the 3 strings. Are the other 5 pegs for the strings that can be added?

On the standard bağlama, there are 3 courses of strings which means double or triple strings. These pegs are for these, though he prefers single strings for his arrangement.

+Kevinacho Murillo In addition to the 12 half tones of the equal temperament system, there are microtones in between the half tone frets on Bağlama. Generally there are 17 notes per octave, though this might change depending on the region and performer.
