Yesssss Im so glad to see this!!!!! First off as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and an alum of Valdosta State, this answer came up so many times and I have found myself telling people to do their research so many times! Please KNOW THE BASICS! Thats the best piece of advice you gave!! And you are so right about how people shouldnt ask certain questions unless you really know the person! xoxoxoxo KayHDesign
I'm old school ('93) and we didn't have the internet but we were still expected to do our research so there is no excuse for others not to know the basics today. If you want something that lasts a lifetime, you shouldn't have an issue with working for it.
I agree. I like to compare it to a job interview. Do you go into your prospective employer with no previous knowledge of the organization? Wouldn't advise it, but it shows that you have interest when you take the time to go on the national websites. Like the one comment on here stated, "If you want something that lasts a lifetime, you shouldn't have an issue working for it."
hi I'm not sure if you made that questions and answers video as yet and I've done as much research as i can but i still don't know what can I do if my school's chapter is suspended. Their suspension period ended however I'm guessing they haven't paid the fine and i haven't seen any of the members on campus. Should i play the waiting game or is there someone I can talk to about this on my campus.
I only have 1 Greek family member that I know of, but I am still clueless. I am doing my research and all that I've researched seem to be good looking but like you said every chapter is different, so I'll be doing observing to see what each is about. Thanks for great advice.
Malaika the chapter that you are interested in should have a website as well. it will have information on that chapter's history. also be active with the activities that they are hosting.
Right. I was saying that the basic requirement to join Delta is a 2.75, however certain schools may require higher, such as a 3.0. Regardless, I want the girls to aim higher than mediocre :)

You're welcome!
What are good questions to ask during rush?
Don't ask anything, unless you absolutely have to. Everything you need to know will be covered at Rush.
Very very very well said and explained. It's pretty simple. Do your research.
Btw I hope you enjoy your founders day tomorrow.

Did you have to recite the mission statement
Taylor Edwards You should know the mission statement of the organization you want to join, whether it's needed or not.
Great video!
Really great video!
Well...since you’re into research...Research Steve Cokely lecturing about the black boule and black fraternities and sororities.
With all due respect to the late Steve Cokley, he was a conspiracy theorist on this subject.
I'm just on hear to look at your pretty face
