COOL! My FAVORITE Palm/Passion Sunday hymn! What a regal, triumphant sound celebrating the arrival of Jesus of Nazareth in Jerusalem before the PASSOVER--and we celebrate HOLY WEEK to EASTER. The LAMB OF GOD won our salvation, so we dance ALL THE WAY TO PENTECOST! Thanks for this upload of "All Glory, Laud and Honor."
Fantastic! I'm with you all the way on just taking in the splendor of the sounds of the instrument and feeling the utter exhiliration of playing such a magnificent organ. If we only shared "perfect" performances there would be very few offerings on TH-cam.
I know this recording has been up for some time, but I just wanted to tell you how uplifting it is to me, and that comes from an organist with 48 years at the bench. There's nothing I love better than opening the organ up wide and pouring forth beautiful hymns of praise. And never sweat those small mistakes. That's how we all got better at our craft. Wishing you the best!!! D~
Dan- I watched this again, you are a fine player! I remember going to this church in LA for a recital, and during it...one of the main blowers quit!! The Organist did not know what stops or divisions it affected so it was quite interestering to say the least. Keep up the good work...One of my favorite Hymns -David
Your excitement and joy in playing come across loud and clear! It's what inspires congregations to sing, makes organ music enjoyable and made me immediately order this sheet music after hearing you play it. It's the magical part of music....and without it, then the F# instead of the F natural becomes immensely important...and the piece becomes sterile. Post more!!!
Jonas Clark I know. I can listen to this hymn over and over every year when Palm Sunday is coming up or is here and almost never get sick of the hymn if at all!
This is a great arrangement of this hymn. You are rushing the temp, a common problem for youthful organists. Steady as she goes! Let the phrases breathe! Sing along and then you will find it impossible to rush!
@@johnmangels5572 A bachelor's and master's degree in organ performance and 50 years of experience as an organist/choirmaster gives me the right to make such an observation.
this organ is on every list I have seen and is #3 now, it was #2 before the West Point Chapel inlarged theirs. Its actually amazing that a local Church in this country would have huge organs like LA's Congregational Church, the other big ones were the organ at Garden Grove and the First Church of Christ, Scientist Boston
I just ordered a copy of this piece. You played it VERY well! What a fun instrument. I would like to hear it on the Crystal Cathedral organ, or of course the Moller at Calvary where Dan was organist. Bravo!!!
according to pipe organ people, this is larger than St Stephens in Germany but the West Point Chapel organ was increased in size and is larger, but the Chapel is not a Church, so this is the largest Church organ and now #3 as the Alantic City organ is mostly non working, plus this isn't Calvary, this is the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles
The Wanamaker is more playable than Atlantic City and thus larger-in play-ability. Chapel or Church = a house of worship. The chapel is only without denomination. OHS does not list First Congregational as largest 'church' organ. The reeds on the organ are very nice; I'm certain Fred Swann enjoyed his tenure there.
WOW! Beautifully played MsPaige Turner. You are a fabulous organist. Love how you managed to make the windows rattle with this posting!! Wish I could be there to hear you play on your return visit to this organ. Who do you register for in Australia? Any postings here on TH-cam? Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. The triumphant entry of Jesus and this song and music matches so well. The ultimate way of glorifying God. Thank you organist.
This was just fabulous!!!! I love the fire and spirit in this playing! My kind of player!!!! Exciting to listen to and most enjoyable!!!!
Kudos, Wayne Foster and First Congregational Church. So long as the Lord processes with us as He does with the Trinity, this hymn is transformative.
EXCELLENT!! LOVED it, thanks for sharing this with us.

Great alternative harmonization! Thanks!
I recognized the counsel immediately. Great job. Keep it up.
Veeeeery nice! command of B natural as good as B flat. Addition of the 32' reed was exactly at the right moment. A true musician. Kudos!
I can listen to this hymn several times during the Palm Sunday part of the Lent season and almost never get sick of it if at all!
A stunning piece. Thank you to the organist for sharing this.
What an incredible instrument!! Well played!!
Oh my gosh, that was beautiful!! It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Great playing on a HUGH organ. Keep up the good work, it shows you love the pipe organ like the rest of us!

Beautiful piece, All Glory, Laud, And Honour, any day anytime. Thank you Dan Miller
I think the ones who listen for mistakes are the ones that secretly wish they were up there playing with all that talent!
Those are the type who only comment when they hear the mistake. We know those types, don't we?

pipe organ. This is wonderful, does anyone know who is playing, he is really good!

You can find it on morning star publishers but it takes a few weeks to come, Perhaps call some local church's and see if they have it?

Is the top manual the BOMBARD and the lower the SOLO divisions? The others I'm aware of

No Calvary is not the 2nd largest; nor is the organ largest church organ.
And...a metronome might have been helpful.
