Right, that's why it was part of the Genesis Tonight laser show. I'm not sure where you could actually watch it nowadays. I love this damn song! You just have to love the build-up in this song. It just starts off kind of somber and brooding and keeps building from there. Things really take off in the bridge and then the most power moment in the song, to me, comes when they go back into the main verse. It's all brought back into focus by Rutherford's guitar swell and Tony's main keys riff. The drumming is what makes the transition, though. It's so damn intense! Just an amazing song!
Yes!! It's such a shame they cut this song short and go into Invisible Touch in their later tours. I totally forgot how amazing the build up is in this song, Phil's vocals, Rutherford and Stuermer, Chester... Just amazing.

This song is about meeting with a cocaine dealer. The lyrics detail withdrawal symptoms from a cocaine high and the relief of knowing tonight is the night cocaine will be purchased. It deals with the struggle against the highly addictive drug. Phil Collins wrote the lyrics to this one.
In general I think the “plot” of the song is focused on someone who recognizes they have an addiction and desperately wants to end that addiction (whether it’s to cocaine, heroine, or some other drug isn’t clear to me). They are torn between the craving for the drug (e.g. “I got some money in my pocket about ready to burn”) and their desperate desire to break free from their addiction (e.g “Just get it away from me”). To me most of the lyrics seem focused on the desire to end the addiction.

"You keep tellin' me you're gonna help me, that you're gonna help me, but you don't!" that is a great lyric and melody there, I wish there was way more of that in this song, it was so emotional. I'm sure Phil poured his guts out when he sang this.
Az ÚR ISTENHEZ Kell könyörögni!❤❤❤(Magyarország-ról)

Legendary song. Been a blast enjoying Phil's music, and what an inspiration he is with his music and Genesis. Wishing you all the best bud, and thank you for everything, and inspiring. One of my favorite tracks this is. Genesis is extremely under-rated, espically with this album and especially with this song. True masterpiece. With all my heart.
My dad may he rip loved this song so much
