Same goggles I have! The Cloudy Pink are awesome and I prefer the Variable Blue over the "Sunny Onyx" lens unless at high elevation & tons of direct sun. The Variable Blue are still borderline Sunny lens VLT % and block enough sun while keeping up visibility, the Variable Violet are really the more middle ground lens.
There is so much truth in this vid. Ive had days ruined cause i didnt have the right lense to suit the conditions. Unlike kev, i like to keep a clear lense in my gear bag. But i like to ride storm days… anyway great vid kev! Bummed i missed the premier
I have a pair on anon syncs and they came with the pink and the blues that you are using. Glad it came with those 2. Just need a set of really tinted ones now!
also, i definitely had days where i had the wrong lens, specially having a high one on a cloudy day and it takes confidence away from your riding as you can't clearly see all the contours
Do you have any concerns of losing a lens during a crash with the magnetic lenses? I've seen them fly off the goggles before and would be worried about it sliding off and never being seen again lol
I’m not really concerned. It’s super rare to have the lens pop out from a fall. Having said that I did have a really hard fall recently and my lens popped out. Luckily I didn’t lose it.
Hellll yea nice vid. Living in Washington I usually rock my clear lens cuz overcast or night ski. It was sunny af the other day I was so happy to throw on my other lens finally this season haha
I have problems on cloudy days or when i go from sunny to shady areas. I kinda lose feelings of my snowboard cus i cant see the piste details everything looks the same like a blank white page no details it make riding hard for me. Any tips on what goggles help with with this issue or do i just need to send it and fuck it.
I recently purchased the Anon M4 but was having trouble deciding on which lens to get. I ended up getting the Onyx lens (6%) and it comes with the Variable Violet (34%). My question is, do I really need a clearer lens for cloudy/overcast days or will my variable violet get the job done? Please and thank you~ Also, if I were to get a overcast lens, what VLT would you recommend?
How did that Onyx lense perform on sunny days? I ordered the same package as yours, but started seeing reviews that it might be too dark even for sunny days
@@KIINGBERRY I don't know about others, but I'm super glad that I got the Onyx one. I went to Tahoe last season and it wasn't even super bright or sunny that day and the Onyx did an amazing job. I actually don't think the Onyx is too dark at all, especially if you have sensitive eyes.
I have the Perceive Sunny Bronze (17% / S3) and Perceive Cloudy Burst (59% / S1) lenses with mine. Tempted to get a variable one for those days where the sun can't make up its mind, but these will do for now (plus the magna-tech makes it quick and easy to swap anyway). I also have a clear lens for night and indoor riding.
don't know whether to get the sunny red 14% and cloudy burst 59& combo, or just get the variable violet, I don't like to swap lenses once I left the cabin , carrying a backpack, buying a hardcase feels like to much hassle or should I just get use to it? appreciate answer
Got the M4 with Perceive lenses last year and all I can say is that they're the best lenses from Anon. I got the M3 with the Sonar Zeiss as well but they don't perform or even come close to the quality of the Perceive lenses.
I use photochromatic googles and they are awesome. We often have variable conditions, one minute sunny the next overcast so one lens that does it all works for me.
Bit off topic but I just brought a pair of m4s upgrading from a old pair of anon googles, but my old face mask doesn't fit my new m4s. I know you have to swap the MFI carrier but have heard they can break very easily. Just wanted to know how hard it is to change the carriers between masks before I go and break my only XL carrier strip. (I prefer my old mask to the new one just don't want to break the MFI carrier)
It is good option when you are facing fast-changing light conditions and for the comfort of not having to swap lenses constantly. However, they don't get quite as dimmed as dedicated sunny lens and never as transparent as low-light lens. It's comfort over specialization.
A question I have about the Anon M4s is do they pinch down on your nose or can you breathe normally through your nose with them on? I find it annoying with my Amazon goggles that I can hardly breathe through my nose with them on. Thanks in advance!
Thank you that answers my question pretty well. I got a Anon helmet last week after getting hit by a skier and I’m looking at getting goggles to complete the set and for the MFI mask. Also the best and most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn!
@@notquitebryce4200 Anon has an "asian fit" M3s and M4s (that's what they call it, don't ask me) for better fit to smaller faces, which helps to avoid the nose pinching. Look into that.
Sunny Red and Cloudy Burst came with mine and I love them both, I keep both on me at all time just in case the weather switches, I want to get an intermediate pair to span the gap from 15% VLT to 59 VLT, do you think it’s even worth it? And should I get something in the 27-35 VLT range if so?
The variable violent isn’t that good for night riding I hear, what’s ur opinion have you tried them at night? Thinking about getting the clear one for nighttime riding
Hi kev, big fan! I have the GNU HEADSPACE and Im loving it so much. Loving the playfulness, the lots of pop and liveliness from the c3 camber dominant profile. I like riding the park, small and medium jumps, rails boxes and butters. But I do feel the board could hold me back when taking it to powder and fresh snow outside the groomers. Looking for a board that will remind me the snappy poppy and playful feel in the park like the headspace but also could not suck that much at powder and fresh snow. I first thought about the FINEST, SLINGER, T.RICE PRO. But was afraid of the change to the more rocker profiled board, losing that poppy and snappy feel. Then thought about the MOUNTAIN TWIN, but heard reviews of it not to be as poppy and snappy although it’s camber profile. Also wanted to ask how much would the directional twin shape will bother me at landing switch, balance at rails, or riding switch. I’m 168 cm tall, 65 kg and 8US size boot. Thanks!
Got two black eyes from my brand new Anon Goggles - $310 and Burton won't stand behind them. Probably a chemical they use in production, but they turned my eyes red and puffy, then black and blue. Burton said tough luck basically. Never buy from them.

Same here although I use the clear lens 99% of the time as I usually go at night

I’ve always found that the clear lens works better in storms than any storm lens. To me, the color tint takes away contrast, it doesn’t ad it.

I got one for my M4 that’s for night which is around 77% to 80% and I love it for storming days and cloudy!
The perceive variable blue looks pretty cool.
We needed this video thanks for the help

All have both sunny onyx and cloudy pink...Variable violet and more on the sunny side them low light but still does the trick for all
Can you do review on the magnetic anon masks?
I wish the anons would allow one to pick color of the spare
