What alot of people don't realize is that hell was actually a place created by God for Lucifer's punishment for trying to be like him, it wasn't a place meant for humans. But since man ended up committing sin anyway that's what ended up happening, and now lucifer acts as a warden. I'm not sure how much the hazbin hotel universe aligns with the bible, but that would make sense. Great video blueraven.

Viv stated that her ideal VA would be Weird Al for Lucifer yes, but she also stated that whomever does end up voicing him if they play an instrument would influence Lucifer more. While ideally Weird Al being his VA would make the polka music love canon it shouldn't be considered as such until a VA is decided. As she stated, again, whomever voices him would influence the character musically as well.

I think your idea about why Lucifer is so against the hotel is probably right. I think some stream with Faustisse confirmed that Luci isn’t an abusive father - he loves Charlie very much, actually - he’s just not a very _good_ father.
Another side note: Viv claims that, despite everything, Charlie really takes after her dad. It’s definitely not super apparent just going off the pilot, but when you think about it, Charlie _is_ half-angel on her dad’s side; she’s also a bit of a rebel, disagreeing with the way her dad runs things and thinking she knows a better, alternative way. Which is basically Lucifer’s traditional backstory, you know. *:3*

You could theorise that Charlie could follow a similar path to her father in that she tries to do things better than her father and ultimately ends up bringing bad things upon herself. OR you could do the inverse, and her attempts to create a better method and idea for what Hell should be actually gets results. Could even do both! A situation where the hotel ends up causing problems, but may, through all its trials and tribulations, actually end up getting someone inadvertantly redeemed.
One things for sure though, I believe Lucifer knows that Charlie could be going down a similar path to him and knows it might only bring her disappointment and dissatisfaction.
I love the look Lucifer has in this show. It makes him look like a person that seems good when really he's not. I've also seen mostly in comics that he loves his wife like a lot. I also love the fact of how he loves apples. I also wonder how other demons think of him.
I like to think that they talk sh¡t about him all the time but will never actually say anything like that to his face because they know that he could kill them if he wanted to and they're afraid of him.
The only thing that I know about him that he and Alastor are friends or something like that XD

I remember from a livestream of the artist Faustsiee on TH-cam who is the design and some of the portraits and she professionally worked on Hazbin Hotel, she was answering or giving some "crumbs" about Lucifer and I remember how someone asked what type of dad was Lucifer to Charlie, the artist Faustsiee said how Lucifer wasn't a quote unquote "bad dad" but he wasn't as much of a good one really. And his relationship with Lillith as by the artist Faustsiee too she has said how both Lucifer and Lillith are DEEPLY in love with each other and they are said to be passionate lovers. The reason why Faustsiee would know cause she is a good friend of Vivziepop and she knows what is going to happen in the story as well as the charecters.
Lucifer is the one character i think a lot of people would love to hear the voice of.

I've been keeping up with a comic on Instagram that has the concept of Lucifer sending Alastor to "aid" Charlie in her creation of the Happy Hotel. I found that to be really interesting, even though it is just a theory, it shows how dedicated he is to let Charlie's dreams be shattered and have her see the reality of the rules of Hell.

I love looking at Ady Laine's (I think I spelled that right) LilithxLucifer art. Their art depicts Lilith as a total top and the two of them having a loving relationship. It's so freaking cute.
Vivzie did confirm that Lucifer and Lilith are madly in love with eachother. Also, the way Vivzie described Alastor's relationship with Lucifer is that Alastor would like Willy Wonka because Wonka is a jerk and Lucifer's personality is something like Wonka.
It would be interesting to see some Lilith x Lucifer stuff in the show cuz i think there are some questions that we need explained like:
Whats their relationship like?
Does Lilith agree with Lucifer on charlie beiang a failuire and the fact that the hotel is just pointless?
How did they meet?
Who was rulling the hell first Lilith or Lucifer?

According to Faustisse, Lucifer and Lilith are very passionate with each other. Also Lucifer is very goofy and likes polka music.
Something I have been thinking about lately is what if Lucifer was the initial driving inspiration (along with the cleansing and whatnot) for Charlie to make the Happy Hotel. I mean her whole goal is to redeem the supposedly irredeemable, and Lucifer may arguably be the most irredeemable. Mayhaps growing up hearing about Lucifer's time in Heaven and his eventual fall is what started the wheels turning in in Charlie's mind. Just a thought that sprouted while watching your vids at 3:00 A.M.

Playing devil's advocate for a moment, it could be that Lucifer is impersonating Alastor, but the real Alastor is somewhere else in Hell since he hasn't been seen in years since his initial appearance in Hell.
I would like to clarify something very important about Charlie, she is a pure demon, she is not half angel or human, she is a demon, confirmed by vivziepop.
Lilith was a human, but she became a pure demon, lucifer is an angel and Charlie is a demon like her mother, she is not an angel and has no angelic powers,vivziepop also confirmed that although charlie doesn't have angelic powers, she has access to super broken demonic magic that no other demon has, that's why she is the second most powerful in hell, only below her father.

Charlie took her bubbly sunshiny personality from her father. I mean, Lucifer was once an angel according to religion, God's favourite actually, until he thought that he could be as good and powerful as God and he fell, thus why he is called the Fallen Angel. So he wasn't always bad.

I think he's trying to keep her from hurting herself like you said with her high hopes.. The extreme he seems to go could also be a result of his 'nicer' attempts not having the best results for Charlie's sake so he has to be more blunt to hopefully get things through to her

I think Charlie is so nice and innocent because she might have had a very closed off childhood. She spent most of her childhood in her home and never spent much time on the streets of hell.
I think Lucifer is definitely trying to help Charlie. It has been confirmed that he’s a fallen angle. This means that he knows how ruthless those angles can be and he most likely trying to protect Charlie from them. Now I do think that redemption IS possible simply because of the plot needing to move forward (you can’t just have the characters work for an entire season only for nothing to happen) But Lucifer obviously doesn’t believe that and even if Charlie does prove it to be possible he himself will never be redeemed so that he can stay with Lilith and Charlie. Deep down I believe he is trying to be a good dad but then again this is hell so he’s having a hard time with being the ruler and all.
I think Alastor was looking at the painting as if he wanted to be where Lucifer is right now and is trying to use the hotel as his gateway into that very position of power

I have a theory about Satan and Lucifer being two separate people in the show. Because Satan, prince of anger, and Lucifer, prince of pride, are the same guy, i take it that, in the Hazbin universe after his banishment from Heaven, Lucifer made an empty shell and filled it with the anger, violence, and hatred he had for god and his creation to serve as a berserker demon, making him wrath incarnate.

I think charlie is so good because she was BORN in hell... not sent there due to already being impure and evil. She wasnt tainted. Not to mention she is a spawn of someone who was once an angel and someone who was once a human. Meaning she isnt evil but very well has the capacity to become extremely so
The thing about the apple, it's based off a Latin pun, because 'malus' can mean with 'bad' or 'apple' depending on the context.
I actually have a little theory about why Lucifer doesn’t seem too keen on demons getting redeemed and going to heaven: He was once an angel before he was cast out of heaven, and he knows the truth about how heaven actually is. The angels are ignorant and look down upon demons and would never allow them into heaven even if they changed for the better because over thousands or maybe even just a few hundred years, heaven became a literal gated community.

When I first saw Lucifer design I thought his snake was a worm because idk just look like it and cause worm like apples XD. I also hope he have a good relationship with Lilith like in the fan art that I seen cause they look adorable together.

I once saw this comic Lucifer coming home drunk and lilith carrying him off to bed and him standing up saying he have a beautiful wife before passing out. I think he also trying to protect Charlie because he IS a parent after all, plus as a parent your suppose to protect your children, he trying to protect Charlie by calling her a failure until she sees real results.
Edit: plus I think he asked Alastor for help, to keep an eye on her, and decides and also disguise himself as Alastor also to keep an eye on and protect her, plus Lucifer is a parent after all.

My own idea is that it’s cannon that alaster and Lucifer respect each other. So he hired alaster to spy and foil her plan.
Here's a theory for you, Raven: what if Alastor is Lucifer's half-human lovechild?
Story: after seeing the success of Jesus, the half-human son of his sworn enemy God, Lucifer decides to go to Earth and conceive a child with a mortal woman; one that will spread hatred and evil rather than love and goodness. However, his dalliances don't work very well, and any child he DOES manage to sire ends up dying before its first birthday because, plot. After several centuries, Luci decides to give up, marries Lilith and fathers Charlie. When he sees how pure and sweet Charlie is, Lucifer is convinced that Lilith cheated on him with an angel, so he decides to get back at her by sleeping with one last mortal woman; a beautiful Vodun priestess in New Orleans. After he does the do with the mortal, however, he realizes how stupid he's being and goes back to Lilith to apologize, and they make up. What Luci doesn't realize is that his latest dalliance resulted in a half-human son who not only survives to adulthood, but becomes one of the most prolific serial killers seen in New Orleans.

While I don't think Lucifer is disguising himself as Alastor, I can definitely see him encouraging Alastor (iirc it was said that they knew each other) to look into his daughter's project.
This is great, but has anyone noticed that Lucifer looks nice and probably acts nice in order to convince humans to give up their souls and make deals with him. Charlie probably saw him making deals and acting so kind, pretty much everyday that she thought "wow this must be normal" and grew up with the morals: demons can be nice and will be nice if they try. And now she runs a hotel to show sinners that they can change but they have to try.
