My husband and I visited here last November! We spent 5 hours and still didn’t get to see everything. We planning on visiting again this summer

If you enjoy this museum, you would love the international African-American museum in Charleston South Carolina.
The museum was created by the longest running mayor in Charlton, North Carolina, Mayor Riley, after reading a book called “ Slaves in the family”. And yes he is a white man who held back nothing in this museum. It has something for everyone no matter your race, nationality or beliefs.❤❤❤

Fun fact about the train, the white and black side had the same number of seats. The only difference is the black side is half the amount of space.❤❤❤

Thank You For Doing This Video . I Would Have Loved To Have Seen More On The Slavery Because People Need To Know The Truth About It . Because The Only Way You Can Get Closure Is To Amit That There Was A Problem. I Have Only One Disagreement With What You Said At Time Frame 22:45 You Said " The Way Slaves Was Treated Some Good Things And Some Bad ." Theirs No Such Thing As Good Treatment In Slavery.

Bet you didn't see pictures of black Confederate soldiers in there but there were black men that fought for the South.

I did. Many of them were in the medal of honor area. And throughout the military part of the museum.

@@DraysWorld i have a picture where the last ones left in a battalion were getting together in 1928. They had the Confederate Flag out in front of them and they were not all white.

There were many free people of color who owned slaves themselves. The first registered slave owner was a free man of color. However, that does not lessen the evils of slavery or the struggles of black persons in our nation.
