Love these tips. My routine had been getting simpler and simpler and simpler for a while now. The closing of EWB surprised me, and made me examine what I use. A cleanser, an exfoliating cleanser or toner, a hydrating toner, C serum, antioxidant oil, sunscreen for day, and a cleanser, hydrating toner, retinaldehyde, antioxidant oil, and moisturizer or balm for evening. Yes to diet and exercise for good skin. When I'm eating right (avocado, apple, banana, cucumber, eggs, salmon, berries, lemon water, green tea, matcha, black beans, ginger, garlic, turmeric, whole milk yogurt), and exercising, my skin glows. Sweat is a facial.:) Thank you, Marie.
Hi Marie!!! Yay for homeschooling!!! What ages are your kids now? Mine are 10 and 4 (my CHD baby 🤗) and they are 5th and kindergarten level. I am now working part time as a CNA/HUC at our local hospital and really love it! I just passed one year! I am part time so two days a week, but I understand juggling homeschooling, work, family… you got this! I love your first tip! I’ve never really heard anyone talk about potassium intake when it comes to skin care! That’s some thing I really should try to increase as I tend to pee the moment I start drinking anything. It’s like everything I drink just comes right out and doesn’t really stay in my body. Like you, I just love cleansers and I think I have more of those and moisturizers and I really need so I’m working my way through them. But like what Dr. Sam Bunting says, “ get cleansing wrong when you get skin care wrong.” I think there is a lot of truth to that! I really love an emollient product whether it’s a Cleanser, a serum, or moisturizer or sunscreen, but my skin is still so finicky about oils, so I am working on finding a balance at the moment! I’m currently using just Adapalene gel for my active and an occasional 5% lactic acid. I keep hearing about amazing results with Gua Sha, now, hearing it from you, I think I may check it out for myself! It’s so good to see you and love your content! I’m so glad you’re getting some wonderful time with family and friends. ❤✨❤️
Thanks for the shoutout Marie! 🤗 These are really amazing tips! 10 years ago when I was getting into clean skincare I would put a honey bear in the shower and wash my face with honey.
These are great tips!! My skin was honestly the best with little added sugar per day and little to no processed foods. I started baking my own bread! (Delicious!) And daily movement and stretching. I also agree that a good cleansing cloth makes a big difference! Not too rough, but not too soft that it doesn’t remove anything.
Couldn't agree more. Eating your hydration is definitely the way to truly hydrate from the inside. Drinking water just pees right out. You gotta digest it in water-rich foods. Also, I only use 2 products in my skincare routine. That's it. My essence (which also tones and is packed with all the bioactives of a serum), and my moisturizer. That's it. Twice a day. And my skin is so happy and looks amazing. Haven't ever done gua sha. But you've got me curious!
@@KatherineCJames Hi K. I don't use a cleanser! I'm not much for wearing makeup, so I usually rinse well with a muslin cloth and water. Which does a nice bit of mild exfoliating, as well. Then while my face is damp, I apply 2 pumps of the essence, allow it to dry about half way, and finish with OMNI on my cheeks, neck and around my eyes. That's it! Oh! And OMNI on my lips, as well.
@@ToniAnnBarandon Fascinating! I'm not one for makeup either. So, I'm not using cleanser to remove makeup. Maybe because I'm older than you, and my cell turnover rate is slower, I love your Lustral, Ancient Earth, and Alpha Beta in my routine. All three are effective but gentle. Sometimes my skin needs exfoliating, and I oblige, though I'm a minimalist both because I want to keep my skin in healthy balance, and because I like simple routines. I love your Essence, and I read the ingredients for Omni, and they're lovely. I tried to order it a couple of years ago, but it was unavailable. I'm glad to see it back. A number of people I asked about it loved it. One more question: Are you removing cleansers from your line? I don't see anything to replace Flourish and Lustral. Thank you, and take care, Toni.
@@KatherineCJames Sounds like you found what works! I can't say I know why cleansing with water works for me, versus how it is for someone else. It's subjective, probably. All comes down to our uniqueness and our preferences. I'm so glad you love our AHA products! I do, too. I have used them all at one time or another. But, like you, I like to keep it simple. The main focus of my brand and products is a high-performance, yet minimal routine. All of our products performs several functions, so we can get amazing results in a succinct yet power-packed daily ritual. Yes, Omni was supposed to be discontinued while I'm working on a new formula, but I was getting death threats, lol. Just kidding. But we did have a lot of requests to keep it. So we did. Flourish is still in the line, dear. Not going anywhere!
@@ToniAnnBarandon Lustral is my cleanser (I have backups:), but I'm willing to try Flourish if that's what remains on offer. I liked the glycolic acid and castor bean oil in the Lustral, which I thought was a masterful formulation, but I noted I seemed to be in the minority. From the reactions I got when telling someone Omni was going, I believe that at the very least serious pleas to reconsider came your way. You're a master formulator Toni, and I love what you create.
Hi Marie 👋 I love these tips. I actually love Leahlani products including the oil cleanser. My skin loves it and I got this box so I can’t wait to try the new product. I’ve been super simple for awhile now. My lotion is just tallow with carrot seed oil most recently. I tend to have my splurge item be eye cream but I’ve found Alpyn Beauty and it’s lovely and affordable. Good to see you back. 😊
Helllloooo Marie! Welcome back. Thank you for bringing common sense back to skincare. I get so tired of preaching about eating for nutrition and drinking enough water, but I can see a difference in my skin, especially if I don't drink enough: the next day my face literally looks shriveled and saggy, lol! Keeping it simple w/ one active is the best advice ever! 😉
I’d love to tell you about Kangen Water if you would be interested!! It would be an excellent additional hustle to add to the mix~ I love your videos and style! @alkalineangel_9.5

Yes exactly! Definitely check out clean circle. Their products are the best!

Hi Toni. Do you use a cleanser, and then your essence and moisturizer? I'm trying to picture how you'd use the essence without a cleanser. x.

Hi friend!! I have missed you!! I have been trying to get caught up! One active only forever!
Loved the recommendations. I have been rethinking my routine as a result of losing my EWB products, so your video was right on time. Thank You! 💋💋
Glad it was helpful! I will definitely be trying the brands that fall in line with EWB this year and reporting back.
Hello friend! Tip nr1 is gold :)
Hi friend! Yes and I say it mostly to myself lol after I have been picking at my forehead
Hi Rie! Thank you for your feedback on our skincare pads! We are really glad to know that you liked it.
My pleasure 😊 they are so beautiful!
Just checking to see if you are doing ok!
