Great video series of these modules, thank you for taking the time to make them. Your explanations are very clear and once you've shown what you wanted to you move on quickly instead of falling into tweaking and playing (which would be understandable). I have had these Serge modules since Random Source released them and they are so good! However, I tend to fall into patching the same way most of the time... just using 2 or maybe 3 functions on the SSG or DUSG for example and visiting your videos have reminded me of tricks and functions that I had forgotten and given me a few explanations I had wondered about. Hopefully you manage to get some of the newer releases and get to do some videos on those modules! Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I'd love to cover some of the other modules. I just haven't been able to prioritise purchasing, but I'm hoping to get around to it at some point.

I think I prefer this version of the Beach Boys!

Thanks for the demo man. Have you tried audio rate fm to the cv input?

Hey, thanks for watching! Yes but I haven't tried doing this in a patch for a while. I think I remember it being it fairly subtle compared to other audio-rate modulation stuff, but i'm sure it could be interesting under the right circumstances.

@@teezdalien thanks yeah I’m curious this seems to be one of the best sounding ring mods out there. I was going to go with the ajh ring sm for the additional carrier input but it doesn’t rlly cut it up like this one. The cv over am/fold could make up for that extra carrier anyhow.

@Everybodylovesraymonds oh right, I'm not really familiar with the AJH module. I might be biased but feel Serge's modules are amongst the best sounding analogue modules pretty much across the board..
I also wonder how having 2 carrier inputs differs from having a mixed signal input. I have to suss out this ajh ringmod now lol. 🤔
      Anyway thanks for the comments.

Thanks a lot @UCvLU-nrrp2aB3hf9CeQEpSw, if you have time and desire it would be nice to see some videos with some basic patches!
Anyway thanks, your posts are very useful

Thanks for the feedback. What kind of patches do you have in mind? Some kind of Ad-lib patch from scratch or more sound design focused?

Bleeding is 'normal' for a true Ring Mod. The Moddemix is designed as a VCA and can doe RM-like stuff.

Thanks! I've also got a Moddemix in my system. Very handy utility. Sounds quite a bit dirtier than the R*S Serge one here.

Thank you very much for a so well-detailed video! Such TWS-dedicated in-depth video would be much appreciated either!

Thanks Alex. I don't have the TWS unfortunately. I could possibly borrow one from a friend, but can't say for sure. I plan to add the ACPR at some stage, hopefully soon and will likely cover that module once I've spent some time with it.

@@alexeylapshin948Haha.. Don't be intimidated by the marketing blurb. It's really not much more than a CV summing mixer with some bells & whistles.
