Not hating on Nightcore or anything (Not my cup of tea but it's harmless) though... Does anyone else find it bothering that the only Owl City songs we can find on youtube are the Nightcore versions? I'm aware there must be a copyrights reason behind that and it's not people's fault but some sort of clause on Adam's contract, but still, it makes to really hard to share these songs with other people when all you can show around is a Nightcore version that just doesn't catch the slower, more laid-back feel of some Owl City songs. Owl City tracks need to be back on TH-cam, otherwise it's going to slowly fade into obscurity
I agree that copyright reasons are a factor, UMG (who own the right to Owl City's songs) are VERY strict and it's very hard to put something out without getting a copyright strike (I've tried)
The only thing I can think of upon hearing this is Camp Half-Blood. The song fits perfectly. Sweet pines... bonfires and fireflies... home... Anybody else? No PJ fan around here?
Yeah that's what nightcore is - sped up and pitch made higher! I can't exactly describe what makes it appealing, but for some reason it sounds nice. Whether it's better or not than the original, that's completely your opinion ^_^

Sure there are different types of remixes and people have a preference, whatever way it was created. I love proper remixes, though I've tried and failed miserably every time to create one and couldn't believe how long it takes to learn, and how much effort and how long it actually takes to create, so I definitely agree with you there. Nightcore is my favourite as it is easier to make, obviously and anyone can do it.
letsgototoro Technically, nightcore is a little more complicated than that. There is usually a bit of a remix. I still like this, but I don't think it's neccesarily nightcore.
