This is my favorite live performance of all time. The instrumental portion of this song is absolute perfection as is Freddie's voice and piano. The rest of the band is immaculate in their execution. Thank you so much for reacting to this outstanding video. Just think about it, THIS IS LIVE!!!! Nothing to aid or cover up anything, just impeccable musicianship. The song is about a girl in one of Brian's college classes that he was enamored with but couldn't muster up the nerve to ask he out.
Gorgeous song sung by the greatest rock voice that ever performed. Try You Take My Breath Away live 1976 in Hyde Park. Also Love of My Life written for Freddie’s lover and best friend Mary Austin. It was a fan favorite at concerts since the Rio concert where the audience sang the song surprising the band. You might like Your my best friend written by John Deacon the bassist who also wrote another one bites the dust and under pressure!
You're right, the whole band was vibing on this one. All 4 members were at the top of their game. I can almost guarantee those flames of yours will appear on every Queen video. They are that great.
If you love the Queen, Queen fans will love you and there are a lot of fans all around the world. You can find much more hidden gems in their cataloge. This performance is so captivating, that most of the reactors are fascinated by it. The song structure, Freddie's emotional singing and energetic piano playing, and then Brian with his "singing" guitar, gently drums and bass all these elements together made it so great. Pls, check out the Live Aid set, it's 20 minutes of joy.
Live.. no auto-tune.. these guys were (are) EPIC! Each an every one of them wrote at least one No 1 hit. They all could play multiple instruments, they all could/can sing. They were a band that supported each other, knew each other.. none of them trying to outshine the other.. just giving 100+ percent to their audience every time they stepped on the stage!!
Not written by or about Freddie, it's Dr Brian May ( Astrophysicist) they all wrote the songs separately, in pairs or as a group, then adjusted it so Freddie as the lead singer could do it justice, it's not Freddie and his band it's just Queen four highly intelligent college and university students who met by chance way back in the 60's and the rest is history
70s Queen suggestions: Stone Cold crazy Liar Killer Queen March of the black Queen It's late We are the champions Ogre battle Somebody to love (studio version) 39 Death on two legs Now im here Brighton rock
Great reaction. Dr. Brian May wrote such a poignant song, beautifully delivered by Freddie. Vocals are stunning here as is the musical interlude. Brian's guitar work really carries it, and the cameraman never focused on him more than a quick second. Nor on the percussion which is amazing. Both Roger & John are doing fantastic work.
Queens lead guitarist Brian May made his guitar with his father out of a old fireplace , he’s never without his precious guitar and has been around the world with him !
Thanks, Aces - yep, that was Brian's college crush... about whom he wrote (omg, gotta wonder if she ever had any idea?) what I love about this song is the crazy interplay between the entire band... especially Freddie's keys and Brian's guitar... but the drums & bass are all in there as well.... just a stunning live performance, right?!!!
I read somewhere that Brian said they ended up becoming friends a few years after his initial crush on her… but idk if he ever told her the song was about her. Can you imagine him writing that gorgeous song for you ?? I’m a John Deacon gal through and through, but Brian would be difficult to resist !
This is one of my favorites 🥰 then LIAR LIVE AT THE RAINBOW 1974 YOU WILL SEE HOW EACH ONE HAS A PART AN JOHN DEACON JAMS ON HIS BASS YOU WILL LOVE IT 💛❣️THANKS 👍👑🥀♾️❤️💋💛☮️🌟🇬🇧🇺🇲
Okay Brian’s hauntingly, magical yet “so sad” White Queen!! 💟 Now you gotta do Freddie’s MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN 🖤🖤 In all honesty - These are all Queen masterpieces! 👑👑
You have a great reactions on queen, thank you, I subscribed bec of queen, try their live concerts, they are better than the studio versions, always looking great reactions, actually, I watched almost of their videos, again thank you again

You will enjoy Queen's performance at LIVE AID...20 minutes of greatness...even with Freddie having a sore throat
Hauntingly Beautiful👑💛👑💛Brian wrote this about a girl he was too shy to talk to in college, but Freddie takes it to the next level👑

My personal favorite. I can listen to the instrumental breakdown a dozen times

In the remastered versions of the albums, dvd's etc, for some reason Queen Productions have used auto tune, sad but true.

Loved you loved this! Freddie forever....
Please react to Queen Cool Cat 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Who Wants to Live Forever will blow your mind. I like the studio version but Live is great also.
The story of the girl admired from afar is true but it was the guitarist Brian May that wrote the song and lyrics not Freddie.
Wow 🥰 beautiful Freddie ❤️ Freddie Mercury ❤️ liked already subscribed 😁 beautiful song one of my favorites ❤️
