Thanks!! Police Station is a great investment. I think people are stocking up on other categories making this a better choice. Black Friday sales have historically had double vip/Lego Insider points 😊

Agreed, there are a ton of good LEGO sets retiring this year. Yep, definitely looking forward to those sales!

I have been doing a LEGO Modular review series on my channel and it really helped me to see what I like in each modular. The police station has a great little story with the donut thief and a little tunnel spooned out from the jail cell. The book shop looks good on the outside, but not too exciting on the interior. So, I lean towards the Police Station as a better set overall.

It’s doing ok, but the Police Station is definitely the best performer so far. The MSRP was $199.99, the buy box on Amazon is $349 and is selling for close to that on eBay as well

@@TheBrickDynasty what Assembly Square MSRP was before it was reties? it most been over $200 I think there like 4000 bricks in that set. yeah like 2 years ago I sold all my Lego start buying Legos again. I wish I never sold them, but I have no choice I had some funds problems at that time.

Great content, keep the transparency 👍. I would love to hear you address the following conundrum. The increase in investors/suply and decrease in demand/economi/fewer working from home/ what will the main effects be? Longer hold time? Lower cealing on prices? Some categories will only be low single digit growth?
Would love to hear your thoughts 🙏 keep up the good work 🤩

Thanks! It’s a very nuanced topic and no one knows exactly what will happen, but I think it will have an impact on how fast most sets appreciate in value. It doesn’t cause me to be concerned as an investor though. With less buyers, come deeper discounts from retailers. Personally, I’m making sure I buy sets at the deepest discount possible, that way I’m ahead of other investors. If a set ends up performing poorly for some reason, I’ve insured a profit based on my low buy price. Many newer investors buy at 20% discounts or even near retail, that hurts their hold time & they’ll have to hold sets for years to make a decent profit. Hope this helps!

That’s a great question haha. I had a lot of unforeseen things come up the couple days the HP GWP was available and ended up only getting 2 orders in… I got some of the Hungarian Horntail, Ministry of Magic, Hedwig, and some BrickHeadz. Really disappointed that I didn’t get more orders in, especially because I sold my GWPs for $60 each, ended up being another very successful HP GWP as I expected. I’m going to be sharing the whole story in my first Patreon video if you’re interested in joining! I’ll be announcing it opening up on Thursday.

@@TheBrickDynasty If it’s not too expensive I might actually ! That would be a first for me as I never ever joined one of these. I got 7 GWP and regret not getting more as well. Sold two for 55€ but now the price has come down so I’ll have to wait for it to climb back up

@@the_cisco_kid my video tomorrow will actually cover this! But as a sneak peak, I’m as confident as I can get that it will retire now. LEGO on their European sites, updated their “last chance to buy” section with 300+ sets. The list includes the dragon!

There is some good info commented here already, but I also wanted to add that I’ve heard there are multiple sites in Europe that offer free voucher codes for past LEGO GWPs. By selling those, you’ll be able to lower your buy price, worth checking out!
