    Thank you especially for explaining serial and parallel solar hooks, made simple. I am fact gathering before my purchase and this one video has made me rethink going with EcoFlow, the running 120/240 simultaneous was the most compelling feature. You just got yourself another subscriber, thanks again.

    Well one things for sure. When you have a battery hooked up like that you really find out how much power is being used. All the appliances in standby made add up when your on a battery. I have replaced all the bulbs in the house with cfl and led bulbs and saw no difference in the electric bill. I have a 1000 watt that I hooked up to 1 refrigerator just to see how long it would run for. It sat almost the whole time without being opened and it only ran it for around 5 hours. I had hoped it would go longer than that. I have a 4000 watt hooked up to the breaker box and I can go from gas generator to battery really easy. I just hope the battery will run the heater through the night. If it does that maybe I can add the refrigerator on to it. Just want to have the essentials and the quiet while everyone is sleeping.

    I think this is great for using in conjunction with generator, I am going to use this in my 24’x24’ workshop to run saws grinders and welders so I don’t have to get permits for wiring from house to shed,it will work great because you are not using power constantly but to use together with generator for grid down problems for house. Everyone please use good judgement on these power supplies, they are very temporary, for running your house use a 4800 watt generator on propane preferably but gasoline if not available. Money is in most cases my primary decision.

    Love the video. I'm in the market for a portable solar-powered station like this one.
    However, my constructive criticism of the video would be to delete the word "cheap" from the presentation when describing accessories. I recommend using words like reasonably priced, affordable, etc. Otherwise, excellent review.

    Come on guys….this would run a 120v fridge for a day. This may be good to great to power a 12 volt camping fridge for a few days and phone charging + usb lights. You’re going to need a quite few of these or some how connect a large bank of batteries to run a house full of 120 volt stuff for a day.

      @@jamesmcritchie8310 you are correct. I was simply pointing out the obvious limitation because so many of the reviewers fail to do so. Many people who are new battery capacity will not understand how much stored energy is required to run run one appliance during a power outage. That is all. I personally don’t feel that people who don’t know information should be called babies. Seems a little harsh. You have yourself a great day.

    Hey TRZ, I noticed the inlet device moving around when you attached the flexible cord with the interlocking cord bodies to the inlet. Maybe you need some longer screws to attach to the sheathing and not just the vinyl siding. Just trying to help. Lights, and phone chargers draw very little wattage. Electric clothes dryers, water heaters, ovens, air-conditioning, etc., those appliances draw far more power and drain the battery much quicker than a new 75" Samsung QLED 90.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I own two Anker F3800s. Take it from me. The Anker solar panels are NOT the best to use in terms of getting the most power output. For some reason, AllPowers solar panels put out more power, and so I've been using those instead.

    I am determined to correctly size for my actual use.
    My electric company app shows KWh for each day. Maybe your electric utility will have that? Find out.
    My 3-season peak is 5 KWh and rarely 6 KWh. In winter, I can run 9-10 KWh but I have natural gas whole house heat and gas water heater, so what is that about? I use the oven more. Is it the oven/range? I am thinking countertop appliances will be enough for me.
    I decided next year I will turn all but the furnace off to see what it draws on standby, next all off but refrigerator, and next lights.
    By this means, I can expect to optomize it all.

    Question: Will this single unit run/start a heat pump??? And for those of us who still have our tri-fuel generators, please discuss the possibility of using a tri/gas generator to charge/supplement the charging of the Solix. Maybe topping off the Solix before dark so that the Solix can power everything quitey at night. These power stations are looking better every day. Good stuff, Thanks.

    • @Dumpsterfire88
      @Dumpsterfire88 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would need to know the wattage of your heat pump but with a 6k watt inverter using the 240v outlet on the solix you should be good as long as it’s not trying to run everything else in the house at the same time. As far as generator yes you could use that to charge the solix.

      That's why you need solar panels and an extra battery so one is always charging while you are using the other one. Ideally 4 larger batteries to cover both day and night. Will Prowse has some good videos on how to wire them up.

    You can’t power a whole house on 25amps. Just stop the BS, on a small battery having any longevity for no more than an hour at 25amps. Watt hour = amp hours x volts. Your not telling the full story, what is the rated amp hours and then do the math. Most likely, just like ford lighting, the battery won’t last an hour when connected to a home using all 25amps at the battery plug on the unit your peddling.

  • @AngryRon-y9f

    Undoubtedly just told another lie, the rating of the 220volt output is only 25amps, you stated you can connect it to a 30 or 50 amp breaker. That BS, you have just over sized a breaker rating of the unit which gives a false sense that the battery unit can provide 30 or 50 amps to the house.
