    I wrote to Peter J Carrol a few years ago. I was confused by the idea that a person has/is many souls - of course reading Siber Magick (sic?) is in of itself an exercise in entertaining bewilderment.
    He responded concisely with something along the lines of "It's possible we have several souls, perhaps many or none at all."

      Ah! It was likely Cyber Magick. I think it difficult to build discussion on a foundation whereby "nothing is true and everything is permitted". As ever with Chaos Magick, your mileage may vary! Thanks for sharing your experience, it is appreciated. Marcus.

    My first video of yours and I am thoroughly impressed! I am a former evangelical Christian of many decades turned atheist turned chaos witch and your content knowledge is on another level…

      That's very kind of you to say and appreciated. I hope my videos share some of the stuff I've personally found more useful over the years! Thank you! Marcus.

      Same here ... Evangical then atheist now considering witch. Don't want to build another castle on a rock. Might consider a hut on sand though.

    When you were explaining how to create sigils by taking a sentence reducing it down by removing the vowels/ constants, I immediately thought of that Roman Latin shorthand found in inscriptions, such as on votive offerings or on those lead curse tablets.

      That's a great point, thank you. Absolutely, magical inscriptions, devotional prayers, curses, etc. are often abbreviated in some form or another, for secrecy and magical effect amongst other things, i.e. space on a talismanic artefact or for artistic effect. I am reminded too of magical squares that reduce words and of course, sacred names that are themselves acronyms, such as AGLA, etc. Thank you for sharing that great observation, appreciated! Marcus.

    You have had a very fulfilling & interesting life following your passions. Even to this day. Your experiment, i done something similar many years ago in a visualization to removing a part of oneself, was a room with boxes with different aspects of me, i actually think it was lack of confidence myself, i wont go into to much detail, as i say "each to there own", Have to admit was quite powerful experience. Thank You for the Video.

    What are your thoughts on having a magic weapon and barrier before sigil charging? It seems from Peter’s point of view this is required, yet chaos magic also seems to imply experimentation.

    • @MarcusKatzAuthor
      @MarcusKatzAuthor  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd go for experimentation for sure. I find sigils are quite "stand alone" in practical work and the simpler the better. In effect, adding more ritual or implements around a sigil moves the working towards a full consecration of a talisman as found in the Golden Dawn. That type of ritual requires more set-up and consideration, particularly of correspondences, to ensure the 'worlds' being stacked are properly aligned. So, experimentation is the key to discovering which are rules and which are recommendations in ritual. Thanks for the interesting question! Marcus.

    Sir, have you had any major success with the use of magick practices? Any examples that come to mind?

    • @MarcusKatzAuthor
      @MarcusKatzAuthor  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hi John, thank you for asking. If you check out my video "How to Make a Ritual Work" you'll see an actual example of a typical 'money spell' working which I did for the video lesson. Is that the soprt of practice you mean? Or more abstract/spiritual/initiatory working?
      There are plenty of examples of 'success' although in recent years I have moved to a more 'constant flow' of working rather than a 'I did this ritual to get this result' approach.
      If you'd like to read about magical practice in real life, you may find "After the Angel" of interest. I mention in that book about the 'test' of the Magical Squares I conducted, to summon "Thirteen Dancing Girls on a Wednesday". It is one of the more obvious demonstrations of a practice working on that level, as it worked exactly to the letter.
      Hope that gives some idea of my personal experience, although the general rule is "hush, the spells wound up".
      Thank you. Marcus.

    So it’s all about reading books ? Is that all ?

    • @MarcusKatzAuthor
      @MarcusKatzAuthor  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Books are a part of the transmission of the methods, for sure! Chaos Magick is more about experimentation and the modelling of experience, I've found over time.

    Very interesting. Thank you for creating this video. Some of the sigils that you showed, look very similar to a combination of biogeometry signatures. It’s just all so fascinating.🫶🏽

      Thank you! It is fascinating that these things are so often written into us like code so become universal. It is similar with alchemy and dream symbolism which carry the same patterns and formulations. Thank you for engaging with the video, it is appreciated. Marcus.
