I like the nasturtium idea. Can’t wait to see it when it blooms. I seeded a tray of petunias hopefully ready to go in the green stalk in a few weeks. Have you ever tried the supports?

The idea is not mine, I saw it on green stalk’s instagram last year and knew I had to try it.
No, I haven’t tried the supports. I’ve seen, but I do not have them. I usually use bamboo stakes that I’ve cut and modified to hold them up, lol.

It was good seeing this video. I had the idea to plant some extra seedling peppers in my tower (the cheaper version style). You gave some good pointers on planting them. I need to work on getting it down before the end of this month. I considered herbs 1st, but I might consider both peppers & herbs. It doesn’t hurt to try different methods of growing.

Thank you. Before I had green stalks, I used dollar tree stackable planters. They grow just as good in those as they do these larger ones. Herbs with them will do well.

Thank you for this informative video!! You can lots of very helpful hints. I love growing peppers in my Original Greenstalk. Can you tell me why you only plant in every other pocket, rather than each pocket?

Sorry for the late response. Our whole house has been done with eek and I was the last one to get it. Anywho, your very welcome. My pepper plants tend to get very large. This allows space for them and their roots to grow. I hope that helps answer your question.

Hello! I wanted to leave this comment to say, the idea of peppers cross-pollinating and producing spicier or more mild fruits as a result is actually misinformed. The fruits will be the same as if they were grown in isolation, no matter what. The difference lies in the DNA of the seeds; plant those, and if they’re viable you’ll experience the mashing of the two parent plants within the fruits of this third plant. This is likely why you have never noted any anomaly regarding your anaheim peppers. Cool setup by the way, do the peppers do especially well?

Thank you for that information. It’s very good to know and much appreciated! Yes, they do very well. I put some tour videos and container videos in the description below the video if you’d like to check them out and see peppers after they’ve been in there for a while. I’ll also post updates on future garden tours.

No problem. And cool, I’ll check it out. Happy growing.
