Is there an easy way to store all my dound effect in davinci so I don't always have to pull them from the file explorer? And is there a way to create an edit-able version of these vfx in the edit tab so you don't always have to go edit it and then render it as alpha and that whole long process?

@@JamieFenn Im tryin to do some smoother tracking. If you've ever watched the TV show FRINGE. The locations are introduced w/ a 3d text of the city. I keep tryin but my tracking is always jumpy so I resort to 2d text and that still looks like garbage. I just can't seem to get it smooth.

This may sound stupid but how do I get my 60fps footage to play ack at normal speed and not lag... I've tried adjusting timeline settings and setting it to 60fps but still lags unless I slow it to 50%. I don't want all the footage in slow motion!! ???
It could be a couple things. Your computer must be fast enough to play it back. And you should have your project settings at 30 or 24. 60 fps is too high in my opinion.
I hear you there.. but you can't slow mo footage shot at 24fps , so I like to shot a lot in 60fps.. not all the time but shot depending.. I used to edit on power director and never had an issue playing back 60fps at normal speed.. recently bought 2000$ new pc for editing and I'm having this issue...hopefully I can figure out cause injust got 8days of a fishing trip to edit and a lot is shot in 60....guess I need to bounce back to 24 fps more . No matter how I try it, the HUD element doesn't export with words. I follow step by step and almost frame by frame but when I export the animation exports without the word in it. Could it be a fault of the updated version of DaVinci?

Hi Jamie, I just signed for Envato. I love it and there is a small issue. I downloaded the same techno hud. I followed all stepps and davinci shows me "media offline". What could be the reason (I am using Winsows 10)?
As they have reached out to you, would PLEASE request them to package the effects into drfx format and not this century old "restore project" atrocity !! Thanks - a frustrated envato elements user.
They are not responsible for the design of the packaged contents. People make them, they host. And depending on the templetes installed some are DRFX. But as far as ENTIRE projects go, you cant install them via DRFX.
@@JamieFenn designers who create the templates should have adopted the drfx format by now(introduced in DR17), but sadly 80% of the envato templates use .dra format :(
Is it really necessary to export it as mp4? Wouldn't it conserve quality to make it a compound clip and add it to a bin you also have access to in the other project?

Well it depends on the effects you’re talking about. There’s a lot in this video. But as far as camera tracking you’ll have to use a planet tracker instead

ilike your tuts but as in a lot of tuts as a no0b i mis the why. Why exports alpha? Why track bidirectional, why Solve etc...

Not sure what you mean. You just click the color in the inspector like I show in the video and you can change it.
