Back in the 60's, there was a replacement end you could buy for them. It had a new ball and ring, just carefully cut the old ring from the lift arm, and weld the new ones on. We replaced the outer ones on ours, made a great difference. The ball wears out on the inside and the ring wears out. Replacement is the best way to make it right.

Cut a notch in the loop that holds the ball joint to the arm and hammer the notch closed around the ball. Then weld the loop back togethervwith 7014 rod.

I need to do mine like that on both arms. Was wondering if it can be fixed or have to replace the arm itself no I no how to fix it thanks.

Good idea and easily replaced when worn out.

Yeah there is a reason this only works for so long. Pretty sure that's the first thing people think of when they see the situation but it's not the right way to fix it. To each their own.

I would of measured off a new arm, there would be much less movement with the bushing, since that bushing was ordered with a custom diameter.

How did you get those bolts off? I’m having a hell of a time to replace my lower lift arms

Have any idea how to shim the ball in the 3 point arm?
