To be fair you might be able to make one or two episodes like this during the Obama administration. Even the pilot episode was a bit tack because they keep relying on jokes (obsession with sitting in fire trucks, brining up the election even months into the presidency, pokes at the lack of Democratic leadership.) And figuelred there would never be a lot of material to go off on. But Damon it this show is a nice mixture of their persona mythos (ted Cruz popping out and saying his own name, Hannitys own dismissal of facts, Susan not being reffered as a human when she is not even real, etc) and mixing it with all the new events comming out (the bit of Stormy Daniels being the new economic secretary is very relevant) makes for a nice fun run so far-
It's called satire and and it's supposed to make you laugh. If you want all the doom and gloom about Trump, go watch the news. But this is a funny way to portray him that doesn't really hurt anybody.

They could at least try to make fun of both sides but instead they turn the left leaners into perfect Mary Sue characters and the right learners into absolute monsters.
