@MikeG42 He was four places ahead of his team mate Almendinger who was in similar equipment and has been driving on ovals and won on ovals for years. Also, he started in 25th position.
@@MikeG42 Also, I think all those other Chevy drivers who've been driving on ovals for years probably care that this rookie from a country that doesn't have a single oval track beat them care.
@@michaelcrane2475I don't know about asphalt ovals, but New Zealand and Australia have plenty of dirt ovals
@simoneburini4036 I meant sealed ovals. Yes you're right, we have plenty of quarter mile dirt ovals in both countries and there is a sealed speedway called Thunder domestic in Australia which hasn't been raced on in years.

Im a SVG fan since he was kid, not even i thought he was going to get a top 10 this year...
His good enough to be in a cup car next year if he gets top ten finishes and another season of experience

@@jerseyguy8257 NASCAR’s TV partner for the second half of the season is NBC. NBC covers the Olympics which is a huge commitment meaning they are not really able to commit to covering any other sports while the Olympics are happening.
