  • So RTR doesn't actually mean Ready To Run. Air Filter Oil doesn't actually come in the box, so had to buy it separately. Why it doesn't come in the box anyway I don't know.
It had to be applied to the Air Filter and I wanted to adjust the suspension slightly so I thought I'd show you guys. The shock setup was pretty good from the factory but I prefer to have the maximum amount of travel in the suspension. Some pre-load clips should sort that out.
I mentioned in the video that I wasn't going to clean the Air Filter in between tanks 1 + 2. The reason for this is because it will be resting on a stand, not going anywhere, so there won't be large amounts of dust and/or dirt getting in there so I don't see the point in cleaning it. I will clean it after tank 2, then in between tanks 3 + 4 and then after tank 4. I do plan to clean it after every run, with nitro fuel, and then re-oil it.
Breaking in is next, probably in two parts and then some proper runs.
Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

Thanks for putting this together. I have a lot of nitro engine and vehicles, and don't buy many RTR there days but I've always had my eye on this one. Crazy the price has not dropped in 30+ months, which is odd. Regardless, I think this winter I'll buck up and get one but will reach out with questions after watching this series. ;-)

+Nitro RCNerds Sure, no problem. This is my first Nitro so still learning. Got to replace pull-start. Sick of blisters on my fingers and its starting to get notchy and keeps jamming. Only lasted a handful of runs. Going to change to a Roto-start.

So it's something I see ALL the time. If you have not made the switch to roto-start, there is no need to....give me a sec and I'll send you some things you might find useful,

Hi there, Lunchbox should be happening at the start of December. I was thinking of showing you guys the (not just mine...) RC collection when I hit 500 subscribers, maybe. I want to do something special.

Pretty sure I did. I'm not sure how a corner would perform with different spring rates for each shock though.

Around your front and back suspension to me they look like wraps

I think the part you are talking about is just part of the chassis. Nothing that I have added.
