We just sang this as our baritone song for our spring chorus concert. No one in the choir liked it, but I always thought it is a beautiful song that brings me to tears every time I hear it. ❤
LOVE how people send in the their 2 cents worth criticism.. HOW ABOUT THEIR signing group uploading the same song and WE WILL take a listen and SEE WHAT WE think... C'mon, you know who YOU are..Let's hear ya.
Well, pray tell us then. If you cant' be part of a meaningful, solution, then please don't be part of negative critique... C'mon Mary, please tell us--we are here on youtube to learn...
That's the beauty of a live performance. Only recordings guarantee a perfect concert. Even the finest musicians make minor mistakes in live performances. Just think of the hundreds of perfect notes and not the three minor wrong ones. Think back on all your own live performances and cut them a little slack.
@@c3piano Sometimes the minor mistakes makes the live recording perfect but please cut the condescension. Mrs Scott already said she loved it and also has the right to point out mishaps. Some 2-3 mistakes that in her rightful opinion, keeps this beautiful rendition from being perfect. I myself, can't stand the head-shaking of the soloist! Best to only listen 👂 and that's my rightful opinion.

This tune is like magic- I sing it to my niece and she sleeps to it in less than a minute.

The ginger who starts it off - what is his name?
His name is Christopher Bruerton
Beautiful singing as always - not getting the feeling they know the meaning of the song though :P
This song really needs a Scottish accent, I think.
@@elizabethwyatt1379 Yes, but tricky to find six sober Scots.
@@grahamnoble4887 Especially if they're drinking Loch Lomand (brand of whiskey)

I absolutely love this from the King Singers, however, I'm sorry to say there are two or three minor mistakes... 😔

Prefer Peter Hollens version.
Nope. As a performing singer I can REALLY appreciate the falsetto...but hearing a guy singing it isnt right...nope.
So how should it be sung?
He’s a countertenor….
How dare you say that, don't you know about the legacy of The Kings Singers?
Beautiful!
