“Having the ability to bring people together is a gift” This is by far the greatest lesson in this song and one of the most important leadership trait a leader must have to be effective.
Lin Manuel Miranda is who wrote the music for this movie he also did Hamilton and Moana. He is brilliant. His ability to story tell through song is amazing.
Stephanie Beatriz definitely is gifted in doing different voices (not to mention, also singing!). She was Rosa on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and her voice for that character is way deeper. Rosa is dark, grouchy, basically the exact opposite of Mirabel lol And then I've also seen interviews of her where her real voice is inbetween (many think her voice as Rosa is her real voice but it's definitely deeper as Rosa). I'm convinced she could voice pretty much any character and nail it at this point lol
Mirabel is 15, but Stephania was 29? when she sang this. More impressive, she was about 2 days from giving birth when she recorded this, she was waiting on her own miracle.
Something I just noticed (after watching everything so many times 😆) during the first family freeze frame everyone is posing for a picture, then when mirabel is singing about what she would do with a miracle, everything is lights and abstract UNTIL she conjures up casita (and the family inside) and this time the family is still frozen but all looking like they are in some stage of celebrating or being proud of HER in the middle… Foreshadowing of her power to being the family together and being the magic that re-establishes casita?? (Kiiind if like abuela being the keeper of the magic via the candle but in a much cooler way…) Just spitballing but I thought the second freeze frame was awesome. They were all so proud of her. It may just be the imagining of her “want song” though.
Wow, without even watching the movie (or even hearing the entire first line of the song), you picked up on something that most people do. Mirabel is absolutely a keystone of the family, and many speculate that she did get a gift (that gift being the very thing you stated).
Is cool to see you doing this one, I think Disney finally got it with this movie! And Stephanie Beatriz is so framing talented, aka Rosa from Brooklyn 99 ;)
Yes. Mirable is 15 so young lady/teen is true!! I love your reactions. You should definitely watch the movie. Do a reaction. Also, I’d say react to dos oruguitas but it’s a huge spoiler to the film as well as all of you is.
Spoiler warning if you haven't seen the film but Mirabel sings I can't move the mountains, I can't make flowers grow and I can't heal what's broken. But during the film when the magic falls after her argument with Abeula the mountain splits in two, during Isabella's song she helps Isabella learn to grow more than rises and finally by helping her and Abeula understand each other she heals the rift that broke them. So in a round about way she does do everything she sings about during the song
The one thing I will add, is that the mountain is actually Luisa. Mirabel moves her by getting her to open up and start sharing/taking care of her emotional needs. Everything else is spot on and those lines make me cry every time because she says she can't do those things but ends up doing them just by being who she is.
She was 40😂also, you kept saying you really liked her. Want to know something that will make you respect her even more…she was in labor while recording this. She didn’t want to freak anyone out, so she didn’t tell anyone until after

as soon as you said her miracle is being able to bring people together i had to like this video before the song even started
The VA for Mirabel was actually in active labor during recording this song
I love what you said about her gift being her ability to bring joy and to also bring people together. I agree it is its own gift.
Mirabel is 15, but Stephania was 29? when she sang this. More impressive, she was about 2 days from giving birth when she recorded this, she was waiting on her own miracle.
She was 40. You’re thinking about Luisa who was 29. She wasn’t just days away from giving birth. She was in labor while recording
The character Mirabel is about 15 years old and the same age as her cousin Camilo.
I call it emotional singing. This is
a great film. Watching it again today with my 2 yr old grandson who seems to love musicals!
Go and watch it. There is a lot of good themes. And even watching it again I pick up more things.
" Clearly you going thru something" new subscriber for that. i was thinking the same thing

Plus she was in labour at the time of recording this song, she is amazing!

Stephanie was in labor with her child when she saw me song!!!
Her gift was keeping the fam together and tearing away all bs that follows fams

The singer sung this during labor
El sonido de la canción me suena a los llanos orientales de colombia.
Tiene joropo, bambuco y shampeta sonidos de Colombia
Her grandma kept her out of everything once she didn't get a gift
