I’m not quite through this yet and have just started digging into Townsend Whelen. I was so excited to hear he came here to BC and specifically Lillooet (which is a few hours from me). Just after highschool I was a horseback outdoor and hunting guide assistant 1 hour west of there at carpenter lake. It’s cool to know he probably went by the same mountains etc I was guiding at. I couldn’t imagine doing what he did back in those days cause the coast mountains, the south chilcotin mountains and the shulaps range (they all converge there) there is much more impenetrable than the Rockies here in BC Which I’ve hunted quite extensively. Thank you for this incredible video so far and can’t wait to get to parts 2-3

He’s such a throwback! They don’t make him like that anymore. His books have everything from structure builds to frontier recipes.
