I'm trying this on on my computer in my dorm at school and it doesn't seem to work. My 3DS and phone can find the connection easily but it simply will not connect. I tried disabling the firewall for private connections but that didn't help. Is this not guaranteed to work on University networks?
thanks but cant change the network name or password.. it says.. One or mor paramater not correct or missing.. keyUsage is specified as persistant, the security key will be saved and used ... i mean should i make key use temporary somehow or whats easy soln ?
hey, i've used ur guide. but I encounter a problm...when I start "hostednetwork", from one laptop to connect my laptop I do connect and I have internet connection, but no access, keeps saying that "DNS server not responding". I tried "ipconfig/flushdns" but did't help, (the network is public). any tips?

This worked for me a few weeks.
But now it says connected to wifishare and after that " network maybe not available" ( on my phone)

can you use this method if there is only wifi2 and bluetooth network connection (not connected) in adapter settings
help! it will work on my phone for 30 min then it stops working , then i turn the hotspot off and when i try to turn it back on it says "a hosted network could not be started.

Go to device manager, then network adapters, then enable anything you find disabled, easy fix

I got answer....Go to device manager.
Click on view and press on "show hidden devices".
Go down to the list of devices and expand the node "Network Devices" .
Find an adapter with the name "Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter" and then right click on it.
Select Enable.

open settings by clicking windows+i button at the same time, click "network+internet", from menu go to "mobile hotspot", under the "share my internet connection with other devices" turn it on

probably WAY to late but.
1. Untick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"
2. Click OK
3. Reopen the same dialog box
4. Tick "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" again
5. Choose from the drop-down menu under "home networking connection"

For some devices (e.g., Interl dual band AC 7265, there is a problem of "the group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested option", one reason is due to the driver version, you can go to device manager and update the driver to an older version.
