Well yeah it is fun I mean the 1950 movie the prince was just, ‘yawn, dance, runs after Cinderella, uses her shoe as means to find her, marries her’ yeah not to much to work with here but I’m glad that the 3rd movie did more with him than just make him the every day stiff, unrelevant to the plot kind of trope.
In defence of Stitch has a Glitch's ending, the reasoning behind Stitch coming back to life was set up earlier in the movie when Lilo tells the story of the Goddess Hi'iaka, the final line of that story being that "Love is more powerful than death." Then, during the scene where Stitch comes back to life, they play the same song that not only played when Lilo told that story to Stitch, but also when they practiced that story and dance for the hula competition throughout the movie. I've seen that movie too many times.
Exactly. Thank you. Also often when deities are involved with things it makes what should be impossible- possible. I believe that with the power of love (And possibly a lil bit of help from the Hawaiian deities) Stitch was able to come back to life.
I don’t cry at movies. Like hardly ever. It’s actually something I’m weirdly proud of but Stitch has a glitch made me cry. Lilo and stitch, to this day, still one of my favourite movies. And the tinker bells are good movies me and my sisters watch together ☺️
The Lion King is Hamlet. The Lion King II Simba's Pride is Romeo & Juliet. And The Lion King 1 1/2 is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead which means the entire franchise comes full circle with two stories based on concepts of Shakespeare while the third comes from a concept based on two secondary characters from Hamlet. In my opinion, this means The Lion King has gotten some of the best direct to DVD sequels.
@@louradean9293 YourMovieSucks already made a video addressing all of that. But even if it were true, the son of the creator of Kimba himself has asked this lie to stop being spread as it is only damaging and hurtful. Both works are entirely separate ideas and you would know that if you actually cared for or watched either of the source material, which you clearly aren't. (Plus all of the comparisons made about the two are from the Kimba movie that came out AFTER The Lion King.) to quote the comment above me, "Booo." (Edit Sep2022: I prob came off a little too harsh as people said. I'm honestly sorry.)
@@louradean9293 Name and same type of animal character similarities end there. If you've ever watched kimba the lion you'd know it's like watching an acid trip it has no plot it's episodic and the movie didn't come out till after Lion King had released. Both creators of each hate being compared to one another because they're not even remotely similar works. Kimba is a mid quality childrens anime episodic weird adventure based show. You may as well just say "I didn't fucking watch the show."
I always want to address how Simba in LK2 and Ariel in TLM2 do similar things but one works out a lot better: both kinda turn into massive hypocrites and do the exact same thing as parents that they'd struggled with their own fathers. But with Simba, it's addressed with a complexity; he was still a child when his father died and he wants to emulate a grandiose version of a great man, feeling unable to match him. With Ariel she knows exactly what Triton did wrong, but she does the exact same thing, for absolutely no reason.
Anastasia from the cinderella sequels is EASILY the most complex "villain" given that she just wants to find a happily ever after, it was just the circumstances that made her the way she was! not to mention she still gets to be with the baker in the 3rd movie (just look at the pictures during the credits and you will see anastasia getting her happy ending with the baker!)
I haven't seen the third Little Mermaid in sooo long! Somehow, I remembered the plot being that the ship crashed into Ariel's mom because of some siren shit (the sailors being lured to the rocks by her song) and that's why Triton banned music. Cause it was actually dangerous. That would have made a lot more sense and I can't believe my brain created a fake memory with a more solid plot than the actual movie lol
the time frame of the 3rd one also doesn't make much sense with the first. she's completely obsessed with music in the 3rd one but doesn't seem to care about it in the first (even missing her own concert) and i think there set like a year apart from each other.
Am I the only person who really likes Brother Bear? I like how it feels like an actual myth, with a man transforming into a bear and that story working as a kind of an explanation for the group's relation to bears. And the animation is very beautiful. Yeah, the music ruins some great scenes somewhat, but I loved the story. And the Finnish dub, expecially with the two mooses, is quite solid.
I like it enough, and I like the spirit songs. The Finnish dub is good. But I think Brother Bear 2 is one of the worst movies I've seen in my life. Got second-hand embarrassment for its creators while watching.
nope, It's actually my favorite. It talks about love in a unique way and has a beautiful ending. It actually teaches young boys good things and can be enjoyed at all times by both children and adults, girls and boys
@@oddeyes9413 agree it kinda takes a huge concept and squeezes it in a way that is just not enough for people to enjoy and I don't like it when the creators go like well He doesn't have a love interest... WE NEED TO GIVE HIM THE LOVE INTREST!
And am I the only person who thinks that even though DisneyToon Studios (as a company that used to make sequels to Walt Disney Animation Studios films in the 1990s - 2000s (but in the 2010s they moved on to Tinker Bell sequels) and just in general) is an underrated gem, Brother Bear 2 is one of its worst (that is, if you disregard its stunning animation and catchy pop songs (save for The Little Mermaid 3 with how it butchered Jump on the Line and the entirety of the Little Mermaid franchise even when compared to the mediocre likes of The Little Mermaid 2), credit where credit is due, which is to be expected from a DisneyToon movie made between the 1990s and 2020s) films by the company?
I think the reason I enjoyed Kronk’s New Groove was because of he was portrayed. Despite being this huge buff guy, he does things that are not seen as masculine traditionally. He talks with woodland creatures, is shown to be very sensitive at times, and enjoys cooking. He wouldn’t be seen as “traditionally masculine” despite his physical appearance. So trying to earn the approval of his father who’s probably berated him or judged him for not being this tradition masculine guy, was something I sorta enjoyed.
I love Kronk's new groove and I wholeheartedly accept that it definitely isn't anything special. There's just something about Kronk doing Kronk things that makes me happy
You know what, I ain't scared to say it, Kronk is the second best side character in a Disney movie. First is obviously Robin Williams Genie. However I will say Kronk is the best villians side kick character in a Disney movie.
What I loved about King of Thieves was how it tied up all of the story and it felt like a definitive end of the whole thing. How did it do that? By having the outro of the movie take us back to the merchant from the start of the first movie wrapping up the tale he started. Perfection.
Honestly my main complaint with Mulan 2 other than Mushu not learning anything from the original, was that it felt like the movie was made JUST to give Yao, Chien po and Ling girlfriends. And what sucks is that originally the idea for Mulan 2 was that Shan Yu's army was rising from the grave to destroy china and there would be a spirit war between the Huns and the fa family which to me is far more interesting than what we got ngl
Couldn’t they not make the 3 women not be princesses? I’m sorry but that shit would not fly! Maybe insted of Princess they 3 ladies could of been servants or ladies in waiting for 1 Princess and be protective of the princess and not want Mulan to influence her and that’s when Yao, Chen po and Ling do there thing to get the ladies to relax or something. Just saying 3 ordinary men paired with 3 princesses wouldn’t go well.
Maybe I'm just a suckered for the guys, but I really enjoyed their b plot with the princesses. I just wish Shang and Mulan had a bit more chemistry rather than generic 2000s "ask for directions/read the map" jokes 1st Mulan is one of my favorite movies though
I actually like Bambi 2 more than the original, since it genuinely addresses the grief and pain of Bambi loosing his mother, his relationship with his father is well developed, touching, and gives the character more depth than just “stern, tough dad”, with BEAUTIFUL animation, decent pacing and atmosphere, an amazing music score, and you can really tell that the people working on it respected the original, and wanted to make something just as good.
Still, during the original Bambi, the father was portrayed as incredibly stoic and I wished they stayed consistent with it as Just Stop says. And even the idea that he stays silent and only speaks little words, while showing reactions with body reactions and movement would've matched the first movie really great, since the first movie had little to no words. They could've kept the relationship development, especially Bambi's experience, but the conflict and the father's portrayal is just really generic that it doesn't do justice to its concept.
I feel the same as well. I remember way back in 2005 seeing the trailer for Bambi (2006). I was so excited. I mean to the point where i never thought it would receive a film centered around Bambi and The Great Prince. To this day, it holds up as one of the best Midquel's to an old animated film and one THE most beautifully animated films to date and still my dvd of the 2nd to this day. I get the criticism for it, but we can all agree it's one of those films where the passion to honor the first was their and i give the filmmakers the credit of respecting the world of Bambi.
Fun fact: the diva dog in Fox and the Hound 2 is voiced by Reba Macintyre. She also voiced a character in one of the late Land Before Time sequels. Like, if I had a nickel for every time Reba Macintyre appeared in an animated direct to video sequel to a well known children's movie, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
Wow the second goofy movie was a direct to video sequel... that shows how much love and care the creators had bc both the story and animation feels like theater levels of quality and up till I always thought it was released in theaters x3
Of all the “main character’s kid” characters, Scamp stands out as actually being established long before the movie. He’s been a recurring character in Disney comics for decades, so when the movie came out he already had a well-known localized name in areas where Disney comics are still a mainstream thing (notably Scandinavia). Considering how comics continuity is usually ignored by Disney’s animation department, for me as a habitual comic reader it was kind of a mindfuck seeing that one character getting a movie at the time.

The first time I watched "An Extremely Goofy Movie" I genuinely thought it was the first movie about Goofy having a relationship with his kid. It was so good as a sequel it could have been it's own stand alone movie
Little Mermaid 2's depiction of somewhat privileged and extremely overprotective yet incredibly clueless parents is spot-on. They will do everything to shelter their child from knowledge of whatever could harm them instead of preparing them to face life's challenges. That never ends well, since thanks to their cluelessness, they will overlook the obvious holes in their plan. I thought it was super realistic. Ask me how I know.
Fun Fact: when the Disney Animation Studio was divided into 2 teams to work on "The Lion King" and "Pocahontas", more animators wanted to work on Pocahontas than The Lion King because they thought It would be more well received than The Lion King. Ironically, both of the Pocahontas Films are seen as bad and the first 2 Lion King movies are seen as great. Weird, Huh?
fun fact: outside of the fact they wanted to get into the DVD market, a second reason (though this might be just as myth) is that they were sort of embarrassed after the box office failure that was "the rescuers down under" (which was the last Walt Disney animated studios sequel to come out until "Wralph breaks the internet" which then was followed by "Frozen 2" ... which were both rushed messes of movies... maybe they had the right idea keeping sequels out of theaters for almost 2 decades).
The Lion King sequels were always the best direct-to-dvd Disney movies to me. I like Simba’s Pride because it feels like a genuine continuation of the first movie with new and surprisingly interesting character in Kovu and Zira, and 1 and a half is just freakin’ hilarious.
Amen, The Lion King is (or was) as great franchise except for The Lion Guard (Meh) and the 2019 remake (which I only think it’s funny because of how bad it is, otherwise, it sucked out all the life the original had)
Gotta disagree about 'genuine continuation' aspect. Simba's Pride has so many plot holes that it's basically a fan fiction with a budget, Kovu and Zira being the biggest plot holes in themselves. Not to mention the character derailment and clearly misunderstanding certain elements from the first film (like Mufasa's ghost that was never supposed to be literal). Out of the three, Simba's Pride also looks the worst by far! A hideous blue tint they put in it; warps the characters' colour palettes so badly! Simba's model looks off, Nala only exists to spew incorrect wisdom, Kiara is a love-sick moron - choosing to believe a Lion she's known for a day and a half over her own father, Kovu has a bland personality, and Zazu weirdly got a pair of dentures between movies for some reason. But uh..least the songs are decent - although the best one (He Lives In You) was taken from the Broadway show, so I can't even give SP credit for that one. I'm willing to bet that most people who declare Simba's Pride the 'best Disney sequel' haven't actually watched it in a while, and are going off how much they liked it as kids.
Me and my fellow Atlantis fans, all 8 of us, still cry the IP is completely abandoned. It's a huge shame Disney completely abandoned the concept of early 20th century adventures in the vein of Indiana Jones. We really need more of that.
@@Monobrobe Wanted to joke about her becoming a Queen being not mArkETabLe for little girls, but I think Disney Princess status is all about the money the movie brings in
I remember being absolutely blown away by how fantastic Aladdin 3 was - glad you liked it aswell, it's really well made and deserved some form of theatrical release.
52:14 I'm not sure if it's in the public conscience, but "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead" is not only a sidequel/midquel to Hamlet but also an inspiration for Lion King 1 1/2, being a more comedic take on the Hamlet story viewed from the point of the humorous side characters.
i do know that the incredible phineas and ferb star wars special, one of the best things to come out of the disney lucasfilm buyout, was inspired by that tooZ i kinda want it to become semi canon by turning the phineas and ferb characters into In universe original characters with similarities
Yeah I was surprised Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead wasn't brought up during that segment, but it's also not quite as well-known as two of Shakespeare's biggest and most recognizable hits to say the least haha
It may just be the parental issues in me talking, but I genuinely like Bambi II. It covered the grief of losing a loved one, the difficulties of trying to be a single parent and doing what's best for your child, while also giving the characters more depth and, well, *character.* Besides, there's something charming about a rugged leader learning to be a father. Lion King 2 had that as well, but little me was more familiar with the forest setting.
Whenever I think back to these movies I just remember how much I miss hand-drawn animation from Disney. Back when these DVD movies were coming out I remember a lot of people criticizing the animation for being lower quality than the theatrical Disney movies, and everyone was hyping up how outdated traditional animation was in contrast to the shiny new 3D stuff coming from Pixar or Dreamworks, yet the animation in most of those DVD movies has aged a lot better than basically any CGI films from the same release years despite being made on a minuscule fraction of the budgets. I'd adore a new Disney movie that looked like Bambi 2 or Cinderella 3 rather than yet another film looking like Tangled or Frozen.
Thank you! The hand-drawn animation from DisneyToon’s movies (mainly in the 2000s) is kinda like the animation of these Land Before Time sequels (mainly those of the post-1990s), regardless of what people say about the movies themselves, there is no denying that the 2D visuals, despite most of them being on a lower budget because they’re direct to video (or sometimes theatrically released like Peter Pan 2), there is no denying that the animators (mostly) made the best out of a gorgeous concept. I mean, then again, The Secret of NIMH and Captain Underpants are movies that were on a low budget and their animation is also amazing!
Honestly, I agree- while I haven’t yet seen 101 Dalmatians 2 (for example), watching the footage of it throughout the video, I definitely thought the art style was a bit of a downgrade. I’m still interested in the movie, I’m definitely willing to give it a chance, but one thing I really love about the original is the hand-drawn charm to it. It feels so organic and unique, and I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else. I think in chasing what can be done to say you did it, you can lose what made what you were already able to do special- like rough but warm visuals to sleeker ones with a slightly more generic art style, or hand-drawn wonders to 3D movies solely because it’s what’s most popular and studios (cough, Disney) can’t shill out some of their endless money to make room for artistic integrity/effort/the crew getting to make something GOOD
Most of these Disney sequels have animation that is too cheap and bad for cinemas, but is clearly too good and expensive for TV series standards at the time. They may have been following the Japanese philosophy of direct-to-video, where it’s less “too bad for theatres” and more “too good for television” Making a TV series with animation of this quality would make it too expensive and risky until the advent of streaming. Belle’s Magical World is an exception, that film is awful even for TV standards. Atlantis II is mediocre for TV standards at the time. Hunchback II is actually decently animated for TV series standards in 2000. Cinderella II was clearly too expensive to be a TV series. Cinderella III is good even for theatrical standards, and it is honestly top-tier for direct-to-video standards, let alone TV series standards. The animation in Mulan II is actually great for TV standards, even if it would be mediocre for cinema standards.
I remember vividly the Cinderella 3 giving me nightmares after I watched that. They were so bad that I was terrified to watch the movie again, but somehow remembered it as you showed it in the video. Lady Tremaine was just so scary and threatening that it somehow stayed in my head and I still feel uncomfortable about her. She was just such a good villain to be honest. Non of the other Disney villains made me feel the same way, at least they didn't give me nightmares.
Yeah, the creepy scene with her thrown in the grotesque pumpkin carriage, and Lucifer turning human. Freaked me out as a kid Hexus (?) From Fern Gulley also kinda freaked me out, but that movie always had an off feeling to it that was whimsical but also disturbingly eerie
Fun Fact: The reason why the Return of Jafar feels like a repacked Aladdin the Animated Series was because it was actually suppose to be the Pilot of the show. Probably also explains the short runtime.
I'm sure I'd hate it now, but I liked The Return of Jafar as a kid. A lot. I'm not surprised that it made that much money. "Genies can't kill!" "You'd be surprised what you'll live through." was metal then and it's metal now. Also I've ALWAYS been a fan of Gilbert Gottfried's absolutely irreplaceable voice. RIP to the absolute legend.

47:01 Here a fun fact: The Director of original Atlantis movie was making a sequel called *Atlantis II: Shards of Chaos.* In that sequel, Helga survived the fall from the first movie and she becomes the sequel’s Main villain trying to take over Atlantis. Helga wearing WW1 clothes with a Gas Mask, nod To Darth Vader. Since the first movie, didn't do well in box-office, The sequel got scrapped. It make sense to have that as a sequel and Milo's Returns can just be a tv series. We are living in a dark timeline. And I want to add Martin Short is a national treasure. No one can ever forget him playing as B.E.N from Treasure Planet that was also planned a sequel, but it share the same fate as Atlantis. Cutshort made a video about the Cancelled Treasure Planet 2 movie. Treasure Plant's sequel that was released is only a pc game, Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon

@@MrJoeyWheeler because her "redeeming" moment is nothing more than spite for the guy who literally threw her out of the blimp, that doesn't automatically mean the character suddenly became a good guy - she's still a villain who got backstabbed and went "if I'm going down, I'm taking you with me" in response
What bugs me about Mulan 2 isn't the romance, it's that: Mulan: Do your duty for the greater good even if you sacrifice yourself. Mulan 2: Ditch duty and the greater good if there is something or someone you want.
I would’ve loved if Kingdom Hearts included Cinderella 3 as the one of the few direct to video movies the series acknowledged. Could you imagine if Sora, Donald, and Goofy witnesses the window scene?
One thing that can really attest the quality of CInderella III... is the amount of "out of context" videos of it on youtube, and they still make me crack a bit. The Second movie felt so boring and uninteresting they just went BONKERS with the third, in quality and writting!
Tim Curry has the same power as Jim Carrey. They elevate the movie or show their in to a higher status. I mean look at the Sonic movie before they fixed the design of Sonic. I was sold on the fact that Robotnik actually felt like Robotnik: a narcissistic psychopath with many robots that obey him. No matter what people were going to go see it to see Carrey be his regularly zany and off-the-walls self. Edit: Missed opportunity to compare Agatha Harkness to the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella 3.
Jim Carrey as Eggman is basically like his take on the AoStH Eggman or Lord Boxman in the OK KO episode Let's Meet Sonic (Jim Cummings was actually the VA for an early version of the the AoStH Eggman but wound up only voicing the SatAM version but that's fine because Long John brought an energy to the character that even Jim Cummings never could have)
@@mattwo7 And Long John Baldry’s casting led to YTP editor’s mashing up scenes from the show with some of Long John’s amazing songs. The most memorable being the one where Robotnik is playing on his organ and the accompanying song was “I Lost the Girl for Sure” (I think the _actual_ title was “Let the Heartaches Begin”, but I’m not sure).
For me the best was lion king 2... From the music and songs, to the animation, the story, the characters and the really dark moments, it was just the best direct to dvd/vhs movie disney ever made
Funny story. Back in kindergarten, some kid brought in An Extremely Goofy Movie for us to watch for the end of a regular school day. This was my first time seeing this movie, and I was hooked. I was enjoying it so much that whenever school was finished (the movie didn't finish, BTW), I cried and I wanted to take that random kid's copy of that film home with me. I've since watched it several times, and have enjoyed it every time.
The King of thieves is probably my favorite Disney movie. It kinda remind me of treasure planet but heavily focusing more on The protagonist and his father and the thing he’s been heavily obsessed about. Interesting thing about this movie is they used to aired it on the Disney Channel until for unknown reasons they stop airing Disney movies on their channels.😺
When it comes to lists like this Return to Neverland is usually left out. And that's too bad. I actually liked that sequel. The fast-paced animation better fits the slap-stick humor of Captain Hook. That being said, this is exceedingly entertaining. Thank you for all of your hard work, Just Stop!
That’s because it was actually released in theaters same as Jungle Book 2 so it doesn’t count as a direct to DVD sequel since it had a theatrical release.
When Just Stop was listing everything at the end, I literally thought "Oh my god, he forgot Return to Neverland" not realizing it was released in theater. It's one of my favorite Disney sequels.
Bambi 2 was actually one of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember my mom picking it up for me at Blockbuster. Something about the colors, music and pacing really appealed to me. I've read the book Bambi is based on and I like it took elements from the book like the jerky yearling, Ronno and Bambi being lead by a deer call saying "I'm here":
You're the first person I've seen on TH-cam who actually GETS why Bambi's dad is done badly in the sequel when most reviewers I've seen claim that's what "makes the sequel better" and sends me into a blind rage.
I think it really ruins the original's concept if you take it too seriously (like me lol). Bambi's mother dying marked the end of his childhood. He was no longer protected and assured of love in his life. Despite these hardships he grew up to be noble and kind. Then, when confronted with Man, his childhood trauma stares him dead in the face and he's so tempted to just give up, to let it take him like it did his mother, but he is forced to go through it, knowing it's the only way forward. It's so tragic and rough and magical, that to think all this time he was buddy buddy with his awesome pappy it just really takes away the edge. If they had just allowed the movie to keep the same tone, but no, they wanted it to be positive and cute. Come to think of it, since the midquel is a wonderful movie on its own, it probably would have worked better as a sequel. Bambi could have taken the role of the prince, and one of his children the role of Bambi. Together they could have sort of broken what is hinted to be a bleak cycle of the princes. The only thing I can't imagine is them killing off Faline, but maybe you could write around that somehow, haha.
@@foxygrin There is something like what you said, 'Bambi's Children', the sequel to the original novel. Disney actually did a scaled down comic book adaptation of it and even intended to make a proper film around the 50s era, but it never passed conceptual stages. I'm sorta in and out with that theory about the first Bambi, since really the first thing we see of adult Bambi is him goofing off with Thumper and Flower again and having a derpy love sequence with Faline. It gets more serious straight afterwards, but it makes clear the playful cutesy element isn't totally gone. The midquel felt kind of in tone with that since it was as much about Bambi growing up and facing hard situations, and even dealing with basically family friendly PTSD. Life was no longer simple and harmless for Bambi anymore. We even get the first show of the toughass Bambi in the climax, him basically sacrificing himself for a doe like his mother and having a brush with death, this resolve to be noble and selfless even if he doesn't get his happy ending. It really feels like a compromise of his and his father's virtues, and kinda fits with this adolescent stage in Bambi's life where he's gaining his sense of self, rather than going through the motions as a little kid or a full grown adult to a degree. Besides that though, yeah, I kinda understand that the midquel feels rather different in style from the original, way more character driven while the original was more about the ambient flow of nature. It feels kind of like recontextualising the original's premise from a new lens. I do enjoy it though, and I do get why it brought more casual fans towards Bambi.
Just a small correction there. Cinderella 3 is after 2. I know this because the opening song takes place a year after the original, where 2 picks up from. So, the stepmother must have banished the baker from the second movie and after the film’s events, Anastasia finds him, without her mum stopping her. Hence why he appears in the credits of Cinderella 3.
Would explain why she portrayed Anastasia being the woman from the ball than the other sister, aside from the obvious reason of her thinking Anastasia would be easier to control. She was also marrying her off before she could disobey her and potentially run off with someone of low status, like she already tried to do. That way, she'd only have to worry about marrying Drizella, who is much more obedient and is thus less of a flight risk.
I remember watching Lion King 1 1/2 so much as a kid I broke the DVD (like not physically, the disc just stopped working and everything glitched out when I played it) and I became pretty obsessed with Meerkats after that, they just seemed like one of the most interesting animals on the planet to me. Cinderella 3 was better than it should have been honestly, and I really enjoy the idea that Anastasia wasn't evil to be evil, but because of her upbringing. It felt a lot more real and made her redemption enjoyable. Scamps Adventure was also one of my favorites as a kid, but it probably helped that my nickname growing up was "Angel" so I identified with the character more because of it. Overall, I could probably live without the rest of these movies, but those 3 do mean a lot to my childhood in particular, and might actually mean more to me than their original counterparts.
I cannot believe there is someone else who also replayed so much the lion king 1 1/2 that they broke it because of it AND also the anastasia part omg ur cool
I also loved the Lion King 1 1/2, and vaguely remember playing some kind of DVD game based on those two, I'd have to look it up, but supposedly you ride in a raft or car (you can pick which one) with the two and go on various paths and experience various funny obstacles. Help me out here I swear it was a real thing.
Cinderella 3 was actually an adaptation of a Disney World Stage Show performed in front of Cinderella Castle. Despite this, the film writers would've had to have made changes and come up with new ideas to better fit the Silver Screen medium. Thought that'd be an interesting factoid to share.
fun fact about Aladdin: you nailed it, both of its sequels really were never intended to be anything more than bookends to the TV show. their success encouraged disney to make sequels because money. also Lion King 2 is basically just a movie version of an expansion pack to a videogame, and the only bad part was the random budget cut/censorship on the villains death at the end which made the pacing go lopsided for a second.
As a much-belated note, there is SORTA a sequel to Hunchback that not only did it justice but improved on it: the broadway musical. Same original musical team but with more freedom to take the story closer to the book which made it darker, more complex, and with a distinctly un-Disnified ending. Highly, HIGHLY recommend if you have access to it. There is one kinda poor quality recording of the whole show on TH-cam, but even just listening through the soundtrack is glorious if you're already familiar with the plot. It's a fairly perfect halfway point between the kid gloves happy ending treatment the Disney movie got and the slightly overdramatic unnecessary plot twists of the original book (because does it really matter if Esmeralda and Quasimodo were switched at birth, like really?) and the couple of added and altered songs are straight up improvements.
The 3 princesses from Mulan 2 we're so iconic to me and my sisters growing up. We watched it on repeat and sang their song a bunch of times. Yeah it's nostalgia talking but I agree that they are cute characters and their romance with the soldiers was handled pretty organically.
Cinderella 3 is such a good sequel, I haven’t watched it in forever but I liked that one of the evil stepsisters had a change of heart moment. Now for an Extremely Goofy Movie…..no thoughts, just Bradley Uppercrust III, The Librarian, and Beret Girl, I only watch that movie for those three they’re so hot
Aladdin 2 is originally the pilot arc for the TV series while 3 was going to be the series finale. Disney execs were so impressed by the first few episodes of the TV series that they thought to make it not just a TV movie, but a direct-to-video movie. Direct-to-video here means that it’s deemed too bad for cinemas, but it was also deemed too good for television.
Well, you say that, but for the most part, direct-to-video meaning "too good for television" is usually reserved for Japanese direct-to-video material, usually known as OVAs(because bigger budgets compared to TV anime), so I would assume that the Aladdin TV series is probably much better than Return of Jafar.
Kronks new groove is actually one of, if not, my favorite direct to dvd sequel. Nostalgia might have a bit to do with it but I also just think it's funny and like it. (Btw I also think "An extremely goofy movie" doesn't count cause that of course is vastly better)
I still believe Kusco breaking into the finale, after complaining the entire run time that it's not _his_ movie anymore, to be one of the funniest jokes Disney has pulled.
I honestly loved kronks new groove. Sure, it definitely had its flaws, but just following kronk as he tries to find something he loves gets me happy anytime I watch it.
King of Thieves was one of the only kid's movies my grandparents had on VHS and between the ages of 2-5, I literally must've watched it over 100 times. I always wondered if nostalgia clouded my judgement on it. Glad to see others agree it's a certified banger (for a disney sequel, at least)!
Out of all the Disney sequels, I have the biggest grudge against Hunchback 2. My family's VHS of The Emperor's New Groove had a trailer praising it for its sweet story and rewatch-ability, so I had high expectations when I finally got to see it. I was so disappointed
i cannot think of Hunchback 2 without thinking of that trailer they showed on every Disney VHS with behind the scenes cast interviews talkign about the movie and the ~I was lost but now I'm found~ soundbite
Here’s the weird thing: An Extremely Goofy Movie is direct-to-video but it looks like it has a higher budget than the first film, which was a theatrical release. A Goofy Movie was actually a direct-to-video movie that was given a theatrical release at the last minute. It surprisingly did pretty well at the box office.

17:35- Honestly, I'm just glad to finally see someone acknowledge that was a thing. Every other time people tackle the direct-to-video sequels, they completely ignore that one.
So as most people know the Lion King was influenced by Shakespeare's Hamlet, and a lot of people say that Lion King 2 was influenced by Romeo and juliet. If we follow that, some people have argued that Lion King 1 1/2 was influenced by the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, an absurdist / satirical play from the 1960s showing the events of Hamlet but from the comic reliefs perspective.
*Fun fact:* there was supposed to be 3D spin-off film of Snow White, centering around how all the dwarves met, but it was later on cancelled because the executive demanded for the movie to open with a very dark origin story for Dopey to explain why he doesn't talk in the original movie
I can't remember who said it, but a fella described Tim Curry the best in Muppet Treasure Island: "he's the best thing about that movie because he acts more like a muppet than the actual muppets"
I remember not being the biggest Aladdin fan as a kid, but LOVING Aladdin and the Prince of Thieves. I just vibed so much more with the kind of darker, mystery intrigue, band of thieves elements and Aladdin's relationship with his dad. I also really like Lion King 2, even if that's mostly nostalgia talking.
I owned and watched a good amount of Disney sequels as a kid and movies like Lion King 2, King of Thieves, Extremely Goofy Movies are ones I watched a lot and think they hold up now. Then there are movies that I remember wanting to see l like Hunchback 2 and Fox and the Hound 2, then years later hearing more about them and seeing bits and pieces and thinking I might’ve dodged a bullet there.
Tell me you haven't read Bambi, without telling me you haven't read Bambi: "I'm okay with the inclusion of the jerk deer." But seriously, Bambi 2 very slightly helps make the story closer to the original story is it based off of (the original story is hella dark). The original source of Bambi has a lot more scenes/chapters of The Great Prince teaching Bambi how to survive as a deer than the original movie does. They softened The Great Prince just enough in Bambi 2 to make it complying with the first Bambi movie. Also, they actually bothered to explain Ronno's aggression to Bambi which is explored for 2 chapters in the original book.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Pocahontas 1 was actually the main movie that Disney had all there attention on and The Lion King 1 was the less important movie being held by the B team Pretty ironic isn't it
"A goofy movie 2" is a masterpiece. The villain Bradley Uppercrust III was always my favourate character, I always thought it was Bradley Uppercut III until I found this video. And even his reaction to his ultimate demise in the movie was in character and was genuinely jaw dropping to me on how great this character is. Honestly, if Bradley Uppercrust III wasn't in A Goofy Movie 2 I wouldn't have liked the movie or even felt like watching it 30 times. + 41:08
The explanation for the ending of Lilo and Stitch 2 is explained by Lilo’s Hula, or rather the story behind if. About a Hawaiian god jealous of two people’s love, but even after death her love brought him back. Yes, it’s still magic/spiritual stuff, but it was foreshadowed and done well in my opinion.

I remember when my family went to the Video Store, we wanted to rent a few things (I rented the Super Mario Brothers Super Show DVD to which my mom later lied and told me they didn't have anymore because I watched it THAT frequently) and my sister wanted to rent Beauty and the Beast, I loved the film and still do. but she accidentally picked up "Belle's Magical World" it wasn't even her fault, the DVD was in the wrong box. We watched all of it, and every single person watching fell asleep, and we went to the video store the next day to exchange the film for a refund, and an on-the-house rental of Lion King.
I’ve seen Lion King 1 1/2 so many times as a kid, I remembered almost every scene of the film, and I didn’t even realize those segments with Timon and Pumbaa watching the film was an homage to MST3K ‘till now.
1:24:00 You are so right!! I can’t believe I never saw it before. It was implied in the origina, that Ursula used to have some high position in Atlantica until she did some f*ed up shit and got herself kicked out. They had a perfect opportunity to dig into that in the midquel, it could’ve been so cool, but nooooo of course they did singing Footloose instead 🙄
Interesting thing about Organ Tim Curry plan in BEC, if his plan go as it is, this would eventually lead to the death of everyone except beast in the castle. The commentary in the first movie confirmed when the last petal falls beast would devolve into a literal beast and all the servants (Including Forte) would die as they turn into real objects. Imagine Beast is sitting on his chair next to the fire, Belle is gone, servants all rusted upset knowing it coming to an end and the only thing heard throughout the halls is Fortes music. Right as the last petal the music stops. Nothing but quiet in the halls when suddenly a monstrous roar echo through the halls.
You know when you explain it like that it makes total sense given Forte got snubbed by Beast. Like I gotta hand it to the guy for going "You were an ass to me so I'm going to fucking _ruin_ you and everything you love, even if I take myself out in the end."
i don't remember this is what the plot was, though. i thought they just stayed like this forever, since objects can't die natural deaths, though i assume the beast would eventually die of old age. i like your idea though, it's quite chilling.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame is my favorite movie of all time, gargoyles and all. Even though I was 12, when the sequel came out I was filled with so much rage. Giving Quasi a love interest is so insanely insulting to his character I just...hrrrrgggg I'm so mad. It doesn't exist. It doesn't exist. It doesn't exist.
Honestly, I’m shocked at just how many good films are here. I mean, from what I heard about these sequels I thought every single one other than the lion king sequels where awful, but going through them like this makes me realize the quality is surprisingly split. The biggest surprise was easily Cinderella 3 and Aladdin 3, those two have no right too be as good as they are.
Fun personal fact! Was really confused on why Return to Neverland wasn't included until i found out that it actually did have a theatrical release but literally no one talks ever talks about it and i'm worried i had actually misremembered the studio that made it. It is Disney, but under the Disney MovieToons name
I will say I can admire the 101 Dalmatians sequel for trying to upgrade the sketch-like artstyle of the original into HD instead of just using the stock low-budget Disney artstyle. Also WE STAN CGI TIM CURRY ORGAN
For some reason as a kid I LOVED little mermaid 2. I think looking back on it it’s because Ariel was my favorite princess and I could imagine myself in Melody’s shoes, a little girl with a secret destiny who gets to turn into a mermaid and has Ariel for a mom and Eric for a dad. I wanted to be Melody a lot I think
Same here. I saw this movie before the original and I had a crush on Melody when I was a kid. I hope Disney brings her back someway maybe in Kingdom Hearts 4. But anyway, I know Little Mermaid 2 is not good, but I have a soft spot for it.
I remember watching it as a kid, and disliked it so much, but I don't think I could explain why. I only liked the panguin in it becuse I was obsessed with penguins.
I LOVED Ariel's beginning as a child. At the time, I thought midquels were the first movies to watch before the main story, so I saw it first before any other little mermaid movies, and Ariel's beginning was the one I was OBSESSED with. I have so many memories of singing and dancing along to the songs with my brother and sister and loving how great the animation looked. The villain's charm and funny line deliveries are some of my favourite till date and 'Hello world, it's Marina Del Rayyy!' is still the funniest way to enter a room😂
1:03:23 There was an implication to how Stitch came back, it was Lilo's mom's spirit/the goddess their performance is based on. Stitch is in the same universe as Kim Possible and American Dragon: Jake Long, magic exists in that universe.
Fun fact about the little mermaid sequel. I worked in Epcot, in the Akershus festning resturant, and we were told to NEVER bring that sequel up around guests. Ever. XD We could only acknowledge it if the guests brought it up first, and I dont remember but we were given some spiel about what to answer to kind of handwave away why Melody wouldnt be with her mother at the restaurant with the other princesses. Personally, I love the idea of the princesses all meeting and doting on Melody. Is Ariel the only princess to ever have gotten a child, who we see on screen? Aside from Nala I mean. XD
My favorite parts were when you de-constructed "Mermaid 2" and "Hunchback 2." I could not stop laughing at your reactions to the absurd premises and plot holes. 🤣 This was quite an enjoyable video. I will have to give some of these movies you recommend a try. Would not have known about these hidden gems if it were not for you.
I've seen a lot of these sequels but the one i saw recently was The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride and honestly my main gripe was the absolute edgyness that Kovu exuded in the beginning. Was kinda funny.
For once someone loves lion king 2 as much as me 😂 I grew up with it and watched it more than the first, as I found the friendship in it more interesting and the conflict reflecting Romeo and Juliet more intriguing. Also had a kid crush on main character edgy boy don’t judge me 😂
Tbh most of the disney sequals have a special place in my heart. I know they're bad, but I watched them so much as a kid. They have become a permanent memory for me. Also I'm happy you liked Goofy Movie 2. I loved that movie.
As much as I know Return of Jafar is well...far from good, I kinda get why it was like that, plus it was basically a pilot for the TV series, which, for good portion of the time, handled the characters well and there I say makes you appreciate King of Thieves even more. There are some nice character developments in the show, along with the added world-building and actually really nice moments. Heck, as much as Dan's Genie can get annoying at times, he has some really good moments too, specially in later episodes of the series. As for King of Thieves, it's just a really solid ending to the whole saga. The songs are also quite nice imo.
I watched the whole series in college a decade ago, and it holds up really well. Dan does a great job to the point where he really fits as Genie at times. The rogues gallery was also good, with a few recurring foes and characters, and it gave us Mozenrath, one of Disney Afternoon’s best villains. One of the best shows Disney made back in the 90’s and I’m shocked it isn’t on Disney Plus.
Funny you say that you could easily believe that Return of Jafar was just a bunch of episodes of the show stitched together, because that’s what it is; it was originally meant to air as a multi-part premeire for the show, but at some point, it was decided to release it on home video as a film; this is also why it was produced by Disney's TV animation division.
Doug Walker's issue with Mulan 2 was that, according to him, the film makes a big deal about how the princesses are marrying to unite two nations so that they all can defeat the Huns, but the movie ends with no resolution to the uniting nations part
I’m a big brother bear fan, and the reason I don’t like the sequel is that it basically throws aside the “family bonds” thing of the first film, and doesn’t do good with the “falling in love” as Nina is constantly telling Kenai he’s screwing up and that she doesn’t want to be there. That’s not showing love at all.
Bro it took me 2 weeks to finally finish this video (watching it in small segments lol), but it was worth it! Fun premise, fun to hear about ones I've never seen. And I liked hearing your different opinions on some of the ones I remember with fond nostalgia! Can tell a ton of work went into this!
I think Scamp and Angels little romance was adorable, mainly because THEY ARE KIDS!! Kids falling in love and having fun with each other is just so wholesome! They both are embarrassed about their feelings but enjoy spending time with each other, and I wanna CRY.
Prince Charming jumping out the window is one of the best scenes in cinematic history
Change my mind
Why would we? You're right
Well yeah it is fun I mean the 1950 movie the prince was just, ‘yawn, dance, runs after Cinderella, uses her shoe as means to find her, marries her’ yeah not to much to work with here but I’m glad that the 3rd movie did more with him than just make him the every day stiff, unrelevant to the plot kind of trope.
King Tommen falling out the window is better in both cinematography and meme potential
Change my mind
*drive that funky soul starts playing*
Prince Charming is the Ezra Miller of the history of Disney animation
In defence of Stitch has a Glitch's ending, the reasoning behind Stitch coming back to life was set up earlier in the movie when Lilo tells the story of the Goddess Hi'iaka, the final line of that story being that "Love is more powerful than death."
Then, during the scene where Stitch comes back to life, they play the same song that not only played when Lilo told that story to Stitch, but also when they practiced that story and dance for the hula competition throughout the movie.
I've seen that movie too many times.
Exactly. Thank you. Also often when deities are involved with things it makes what should be impossible- possible. I believe that with the power of love (And possibly a lil bit of help from the Hawaiian deities) Stitch was able to come back to life.
I'm glad someone explained it! U just checked the comments to make sure someone already did cause I was about to haha
So now it finally makes sense
I don’t cry at movies. Like hardly ever. It’s actually something I’m weirdly proud of but Stitch has a glitch made me cry. Lilo and stitch, to this day, still one of my favourite movies.
And the tinker bells are good movies me and my sisters watch together ☺️
It's still extremely cheesy, though.

True. Simba never saw the mistakes Mufasa made as king, which includes keeping Pridelands and Outlands separate.
Which is why I think Simba’s Pride is a decent if not great sequel for such a good movie.
Ignore my pfp, I’m not biased.
Plus Simba's actions are actually judged and portrayed as BAD which even Kiara calls him out for
Seriously. I'd give my firstborn to see it animated like LK1 was. Now THAT'S a Disney remake I'd applaude.
Unfortunately Ariel's decisions are realistic though...
And that was enough for Triton to want his daughters to not go up to the surface because it could happen again.
Yer a script doctor constantly kianna lol
the time frame of the 3rd one also doesn't make much sense with the first. she's completely obsessed with music in the 3rd one but doesn't seem to care about it in the first (even missing her own concert) and i think there set like a year apart from each other.

I'd mention that you're mixing up the prequel and the sequel, but that just shows how not-memorable they can be XD
I love Brother Bear. It's one of my favorite movies, the sequel is perfectly serviceable, but it's not high on my ratings honestly.
nope, It's actually my favorite.
Kronk is basically peak himbo in a good way.
@@trouty606 Kronk is just peak man tbh
@@Birdable Kronk for animated husbands, Samwise Gamgee for live action.
Bro they need to make this happen I would totally see it
Couldn’t they not make the 3 women not be princesses? I’m sorry but that shit would not fly!
Maybe insted of Princess they 3 ladies could of been servants or ladies in waiting for 1 Princess and be protective of the princess and not want Mulan to influence her and that’s when Yao, Chen po and Ling do there thing to get the ladies to relax or something.
Just saying 3 ordinary men paired with 3 princesses wouldn’t go well.
And in my opinion Shan Yu was the last good Disney villain we got so… ya, why am I just now learning about this ?
Yeah... having there happen to be three women with personalities that much up to the three soldiers was contrived and immediately broke any immersion.
Maybe I'm just a suckered for the guys, but I really enjoyed their b plot with the princesses. I just wish Shang and Mulan had a bit more chemistry rather than generic 2000s "ask for directions/read the map" jokes
1st Mulan is one of my favorite movies though
Fun fact: The Tinker Bell movies are actually really interesting, and it was sad that it got canceled due to the studio's shutdown.
i was very surprised how deep the lore goes

Honestly, same. Though I do acknowledge that the Great Prince's development was pretty generic, as the previous commentator mentioned.
Same!! I conflated the 2 as the same movie mentally, goes to show just how good it is at being from the “same universe”
I love Bambi 2 it's such a great movie, Ronno just steals it with his horrible attitude. Love to see him getting his comeuppance .
Hehe nice doof reference
Also, love Reba's old songs (haven't heard many of her new ones)
For some reason instead of Doof's voice I think Patrick's voice
Right? Weird
The Dog's name in the movie is actually named Dixie. Such a shame that her great design had to be put in F&H2 instead of a better movie.
She’s got a great voice.
Wow the second goofy movie was a direct to video sequel... that shows how much love and care the creators had bc both the story and animation feels like theater levels of quality and up till I always thought it was released in theaters x3
I thought it was theater released, too! Like, really. I had to look it up to make sure lol.
Interesting!
oh yeah, ive seen him in a bunch of old disney comics over here.
Cinderella 3 is and always will be the best direct to DVD sequel and in my opinion it’s better than the first Cinderella😂

That does explain why the parents overlooked the idea of living inland.
Ah, that's why I found his huge confusion so confusing. Bc yes, keeping such a thing from your kid IS ludicrous, but not unrealistic XD
Weird, Huh?
Pocahontas was so terrible to me as kid. I’d rather watch Lion King 1 1/2
@@joelle4226 Mentioning Lion King 1 1/2 in the same sentence as Pocahontas is an insult to Lion King 1 1/2.

That’s hilarious
@@joelle4226 Agreed
fun fact: outside of the fact they wanted to get into the DVD market, a second reason (though this might be just as myth) is that they were sort of embarrassed after the box office failure that was "the rescuers down under" (which was the last Walt Disney animated studios sequel to come out until "Wralph breaks the internet" which then was followed by "Frozen 2" ... which were both rushed messes of movies... maybe they had the right idea keeping sequels out of theaters for almost 2 decades).
Bruh, rescuers down under was done dirty, that film is legit one of the coolest disney films ever

The Lion King sequels were always the best direct-to-dvd Disney movies to me. I like Simba’s Pride because it feels like a genuine continuation of the first movie with new and surprisingly interesting character in Kovu and Zira, and 1 and a half is just freakin’ hilarious.
The extremely goofy movie
The Lion King 1 1/2 is a genuinely underrated film. As for Simba's Pride I would have liked it if Kiara wasn't so insufferable.

Damn, that’s a load of thumbs up’ thanks, guys!
I was gonna suggest Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but you said Disney. xD Rise is on Netflix btw.
They may have been following the Japanese philosophy of direct-to-video, where it’s less “too bad for theatres” and more “too good for television”
Making a TV series with animation of this quality would make it too expensive and risky until the advent of streaming.
Non of the other Disney villains made me feel the same way, at least they didn't give me nightmares.
the organ guy from beauty and the beast 2 always gave me nightmares. i refused to watch it for years after i first saw it. (still find him creepy)

Helga wearing WW1 clothes with a Gas Mask, nod To Darth Vader. Since the first movie, didn't do well in box-office, The sequel got scrapped. Tim Curry has the same power as Jim Carrey. They elevate the movie or show their in to a higher status. I mean look at the Sonic movie before they fixed the design of Sonic. No matter what people were going to go see it to see Carrey be his regularly zany and off-the-walls self.

I've since watched it several times, and have enjoyed it every time.
The King of thieves is probably my favorite Disney movie.

Mine too!
Makes sense as with this, Twist in Time technically completes Anastasia's character arc of breaking away from Tremaine.
@@ray_9_19 No no I played it too! It was like on the bonus features for the DVD but I definitely remember it!

(Btw I also think "An extremely goofy movie" doesn't count cause that of course is vastly better)

it's almost impressive how badly Return of Jafar handled bringing back one of the best Disney villains ever
I honestly loved kronks new groove. Sure, it definitely had its flaws, but just following kronk as he tries to find something he loves gets me happy anytime I watch it.

Out of all the Disney sequels, I have the biggest grudge against Hunchback 2. My family's VHS of The Emperor's New Groove had a trailer praising it for its sweet story and rewatch-ability, so I had high expectations when I finally got to see it.
I was so disappointed

17:35- Honestly, I'm just glad to finally see someone acknowledge that was a thing. Every other time people tackle the direct-to-video sequels, they completely ignore that one.
It’s the only sequel I actively hate and ignore, so I honestly never noticed it’s absence till now lol
I’m shocked that Hunchback, of all movies, got a sequel, but not Snow White
the original snow white is too bare bones to do anything with it. what can you focus on? the dwarves lives before/after meeting snow white? meh.
@@juuchanIRL I could say the same thing about Beauty and the Beast, but that got a sequel and a tv show
@@thegayghost872 beauty and the beast was a hit in the 90s. most 90s movies got milked hard.
*Fun fact:* there was supposed to be 3D spin-off film of Snow White, centering around how all the dwarves met, but it was later on cancelled because the executive demanded for the movie to open with a very dark origin story for Dopey to explain why he doesn't talk in the original movie
@@ValenArtsAnimation Now I kind of wish that had gone through
I can't remember who said it, but a fella described Tim Curry the best in Muppet Treasure Island: "he's the best thing about that movie because he acts more like a muppet than the actual muppets"
Tell me you haven't read Bambi, without telling me you haven't read Bambi: "I'm okay with the inclusion of the jerk deer."
But seriously, Bambi 2 very slightly helps make the story closer to the original story is it based off of (the original story is hella dark).
Fun Fact: Did you know that Pocahontas 1 was actually the main movie that Disney had all there attention on and The Lion King 1 was the less important movie being held by the B team
Pretty ironic isn't it
I thought the Lion King was the A Game while Pocahontas has that feeling of B Team quality with it.
So very ironic.

The Disney fastplay monologue still haunts me to this day
*This Disney DVD is enhanced with Disney Fastplay…*
…your movie and a selection of Bonus Features will begin automatically. To bypass Fastplay, select the Main Menu button at any time. FastPlay will begin in a moment.
I love Cinderella 3, and didn't know till a year ago how much of a masterpiece it really is.
That’s chilling and really awesome.
i don't remember this is what the plot was, though. i thought they just stayed like this forever, since objects can't die natural deaths, though i assume the beast would eventually die of old age.
i like your idea though, it's quite chilling.
The stage musical really goes into the horror of this aspect. There was a mention of someone fusing into the wall stove
Same. I was obsessed with the third one too, hearing him call it boring was painful
I remember watching it as a kid, and disliked it so much, but I don't think I could explain why. I only liked the panguin in it becuse I was obsessed with penguins.
You're like my younger sister back then, but she preferred the first one 😂
Me too lol
Fun fact: If the Atlantis series had gotten made, there would have been a crossover with Gargoyles.
We were robbed, I tell you. ROBBED.
WHAT?!
HOL UP IT WOULD HAVE?!?!
FU-
@@stephanniemorinAnd what to know a kicker? The proposed villain for said episode was going to be none other than Demona.
XD
21:05 As a kid I was genuinely surprised she didn't pick John Smith. It was mindblowing!
My favorite parts were when you de-constructed "Mermaid 2" and "Hunchback 2." I could not stop laughing at your reactions to the absurd premises and plot holes. 🤣
This was quite an enjoyable video.
Aladdin 3 is such an underrated gem and I'm glad it's getting more appreciation.
“Ever wanted to know what happened after happily ever after?”
“N-no?”
“Too bad! Start the machine!!!”
The mouse didn't even ask he just puked them out.
This didnt even feel like an hour and twenty minutes. You kept it all interesting from beginning to end. It was a really well done video! :D
Doug Walker's issue with Mulan 2 was that, according to him, the film makes a big deal about how the princesses are marrying to unite two nations so that they all can defeat the Huns, but the movie ends with no resolution to the uniting nations part
Fun fact: there was supposed to be a 3D animation Hercules sequel that thankfully never panned out.
