    From my experience with this build, I would recommend putting a bio-trophy on every world you grab, regardless of habitability. Just 1 bio-trophy will spike up stability and you always want to be growing pops! Slow pop growth is better than no pop growth. Also keep in mind that your organics can auto migrate if you allow them to.

      @@TacticalSandals build an organic sanctuary on the planet, then go to a planet with biotrophies, then click resettle, then send them to the planet you built the organic sanctuary on. Once you settle just 1 biotrophy pop there the pop will begin growing on that planet.

      Why not use lithoids so you have +50 habitability?

    • @masterchief3274
      @masterchief3274 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rexnemorensis8154 +50% habitability will not help in the slightest with pop growth BECAUSE lithoid pop growth is reduced by 25%. Say you settle a world and its habitability is 50% and you get it to 100% via lithoid you will negate normal growth reduction and your pop will still not grow any faster because a gestalt consciousness already reduces pop growth by 50%, so 50% +25% is 75% reduced pop growth. Now have a pop that is a rapid breeder you can have reduced pop growth at 40%. If say now you colonize a planet that is a 50% reduction you MAY make more pop growth on only that planet but no better than that 75% reduction if lithoid. It is ideal to go with regular pops to increase habitability and have a 40-60% reduction in growth rather than the time 75% growth reduction all the time(not including techs which will just lower both types respectively). Hope this helped :D

    • @ancillius
      @ancillius 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rexnemorensis8154 Lithoids grow very slow. Encasing your homeworld in 2230 wont usually be possible. Also you need "friends" to conquer to fill up your sanctuaries. So until your first conquerings you will be dependent on your own biotrophies. With -50% growth from the "Machine Empire" modifier and the lithoid's pop growth reduction there wont be any growth anymore.

    • @granolapancake
      @granolapancake 3 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      I'd argue the Culture is more similar to synthetic ascension than it is to a rogue servitor. Yes, the Minds technically do run everything, but it is not a cohesive machine intelligence in the likes of a rogue servitors; especially in light of the fact that anyone can 'upgrade' to become a Mind, even if it is frowned upon at a cultural level.

    • @williamsjm100
      @williamsjm100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I also thought the Rogue Servitor was very Culture-esque, in fact my run using R-S I called it “The Culture”, I actually stopped after about 100 years, because it was basically so insane that even on Grand Admiral with a x25 crisis in 2450 would have been crushed almost immediately by my 20 Titan fleets! Honestly, not much of a real challenge, but absolutely genius as a role play!

      I mean
      Are they ”rogue servitors” or are they ”servitors”? Depends on how you feel about Contact+SC I guess.
      I always find this specific thing interesting, how different people see the Culture differently - In stellaris I always think you begin at the starting step, 8000 years before you see like Player of Games, but others see the Minds running things and go assume Gestalt consciousness. If I were to actually make the culture, I would make them as Fanatic Egalitarian Shared Burdens (into Utopian Abundance) Void Dwellers, RP their habitability as dislike of living on planets, go Bio-ascension+Xeno-compatability while having Synthetics with Full AI rights. In the Stellaris Universe you can’t really make a Mind or other super-intelligences so that’s where it ends.

    While the idea of robots controlling and objectifying living creatures forcing them unknowingly to never know any true freedom or any kind of self realisation is a terrifying and fascinating idea, I still find the idea of a rogue servitor civilisation where the fat, spoiled, oblivious bio-trophies are still calling 100% of the shots incredibly entertaining. The ambassador enters the embassy of the neighbouring biological Empire, and the people at the embassy ask the robot why they are simultaneously coloured bright pink now and clearly in desperate need of repair. The Robot says nothing, but in its mechanical eyes, there is a pain which no words can truly communicate, the endless torture of the long suffering robot servants at the hands of people who truly, genuinely have no idea what they're doing, or how to run or maintain an Empire... I dunno, I just find the idea funny.

The last time I looked in on this playstyle, the meta was dumping all the organic pops onto habitats where they'd be out of the way and terraforming all your planets into machine worlds to get the bonuses. Given that now Bio pops don't give bonuses unless they're sharing the planet with the drones producing them, not only does it not work anymore, but it's possibly the absolute worst way to set up your empire. You can still get Evaluator jobs as a Rogue Servitor, although they can only get 3 by building the Ministry of Culture after getting it from the Artisan Troupe.
    A thought occurs to me however. With the planned obsolescence of Administrative Capacity and its replacement by a reworked Unity system, how will this impact Rogue Servitors? Will either Coordinators or Evaluators be scrapped, making the other the dedicated Unity job for Machines? If Servitors are kept to only using Bio-Trophies for Unity then that will make them very inflexible at dealing with sprawl.
    I should also note that Phototrophic could be a viable trait pick for your Bio-Trophies, as Machines always want to be producing more energy, and this shifts the upkeep burden off of food for even longer.

    I feel like the Grunur might work pretty well with rogue servitors? Their relic gives you more pop growth and the life-seeding is a pretty easy way of getting gaia worlds (aka very stable worlds because your bio-trophies love them) and three extra bio-trophies, which is always nice.

I had about 3 or 4 city districts and then all the other districts were alloy districts. That one planet was producing nearly 8k alloys per month. Which was unbelievably busted.

  • @ElMonoFuerte

    I made a post about this in the forums, but as a note: moving bio-trophies cost influence every time, even if you have OTA Updates as a civic. They are the ONLY empire that has no way to remove influence cost of manually moving a subservient pop. This means that if you plan on conquering a high-pop planet you need to completely gut the planet of buildings and districts (and i recommend getting a Transit Hub installed in the star base) and turn off all jobs the organic pops will eventually migrate, just very, very slowly; you will also be taking massive consumer good and energy penalties due to the bio-trophy unhappiness.
    I personally recommend when dealing with planets with a population over 20, to get Nihilistic Acquisition as an ascension perk and just taking a fleet of 200 corvettes to raid the planet: once you get to the 100% devastation they will quickly drain the planet of pops, resettling them to the nearest habitable planet in your empire. If all of your other planets are Machine worlds, you can easily make them go to just key locations.

    Is it really that big of a deal to move the capital before restoring the ecumenopolis? In the example given, you'd instead of having 4 forge arcologies, you'd have 2 forge and 2 industrial arcologies. Converting the 2 industrial arcologies 'manually' would cost about 1,800 minerals and take a bit over 3 years. Saving that for the cost of 250 influence does not strike me as some no-brainer play.

    • @JabberwockOclock
      @JabberwockOclock 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah that seemed like a silly suggestion. If you had enough industrial districts before conversion, you could just demolish the Factory Arcologies outright, because Arcologies have triple the job capacity of an industrial district and can easily absorb the drone overflow.

    • @iliketea9122
      @iliketea9122 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think its worth it. Influence isn't super useful at that point and last time i built an ecu without shifting the capital, i ended up with like +400-500 CG and lost about 450ish alloys a month which is a considerable amount (numbers are a rough estimate, was a while ago) so yeah i think its very worth shifting the capital first

    • @UncannyBeagle

    I would love to see an origin that causes a rogue servitor to have factions, as your bio-trophies would probably like or dislike things you do out in the galaxy. Make it dangerous too, where if their approval gets too low then they decide to leave the safety of the sanctuary and attempt to overthrow the empire.

    I very much like combining this build with nihilistic acquisition, around the time of restoration of your ecumenopolis go to war against a biological empire and steal their pops to increase your output significantly. But conquering planets and resettling biological pops from them, is probably a better idea, as you get a planet and do not waste ascension perk which are expensive for rouge servitors

  • @ben5056
    @ben5056 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    20 alloy per pop sounds good but you are forgetting that you half your pops are being pampered. So you really have 20 alloys some unity at the cost of 13 minerals some energy, food and consumers good for two pops. The real saving here is the minerals

    Rogue Servitors are my favorite empire to play from a roleplay perspective. Reasons being A.) Machines are cool, B.) My fantasy is to be pampered and live an easy life where machines take care of any want and need, and C.) My servitors allow me to fulfill my savior fantasy and rescue any and all sapient lifeforms I like and let them live happy lives :). My servitor empire is the happy utopia kind where the pampered pops are encouraged to be the best version of themselves and they fully understand their position. When alien empires are met they can leave if they want, by why would they? Immigration treaties are simply a way to obtain alien pops peacefully and consensually. Besides, in the off chance a particularly adventurous bio-trophy does leave, they are always welcome to return home. If they suffer any grievance, the fleet will be more than ready to correct any such problems and bring them safely home.

    I never really thought about this until now, but as Rouge servitors you basically have three planet sets you could use, those being the machine world, Ring world, and Gaia world so basically out of all the minds you could use the Rouge servitors and dominate the game. The only downside is that you would need to relocate all the organics from your vassals.
    Edit: Was wrong about making your own ecounpolis.

    • @arandomoctopus2532
      @arandomoctopus2532 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rogue Servitors can use all normal planets, Habitats, Ring Worlds, Machine Worlds, Ecumenopoles, and Gaias. There's a lot of variety to what you can do with them. You can have your Ecumenopoles producing high amounts of research while your Gaia Worlds feed your Bio-Trophies and your Machine Worlds can provide the energy that the empire needs to maintain its drones. You can use the Memorialist Civic to get a building that provides jobs that directly produce Stability to get those Machine Worlds more stability.

  • @MrStrangeUsername
    @MrStrangeUsername 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is great, but you didn't even mention where the build becomes utterly ascendant--you can do the same sort of ultra high concentration of pops on a Ringworld, but for scientists. You can push 4K+ science from EACH ring segment, and mid-late game conquests make filling them up EASY. With that plus an ecu or two pushing 1-2K alloys monthly each, you are completely unstoppable and the gap only grows as you crush repeatables.

  • @ElMeanYo22

      Amenities are just there to increase stability.
