    I would like to clarify one of my statements, safepacks are safe no need to pin the valve. Highpacks are dangerous.
    Look up Exploring the airgun explosion for a true Horror story where a high pack explodes and shoots the valve thru the user's leg . Safepacks can't fail in the same manner.

      Thank you for commenting. These are fairly easy to build , most parts available on ebay and Amazon .
      I have other pcp riffles but this one is by far my favorite tunable from 18 to 45 FPE , originally it was shooting 22 grains in the high 900s but only 3 shots .
      I like the tune I have on it now , I have 14 shots at around 24 FPE .

      Thanks for commenting David , I've looked at rhe gramags before , I don't think they will work for me. I like to shoot exotic ammo sometimes line preditor metal mag , or H&N slugs , I also have some 22 cal Gamo round ball , all good at different things but not able to use in the gravmag, Im working on collecting the parts for a new build soon and may include a gravmag in that build .

    Just came across this video and happened to see that you have both of the same rails and the safe pack that I do but I have not installed them yet. One of the rails is on my gun and it's the smooth one. To finish on the other one is so terrible I couldn't even push it over the barrel or bottom tube. I'm going to install my safe pack on the stock brass valve and take the modified boss valve out. I was thinking about getting the Canadian transfer tube as it has a much smaller orifice to restrict the FPS of the gun. I also have the puppet valve from the Benjamin, but when I install it in there the spring is too short and the pop-up valve moves back and forth like an eighth of an inch. I'm not sure what's up with that. The stock 2240 spring is longer and the correct length.

    • @jasonnealey8325
      @jasonnealey8325  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You sure are right about the finish on the front rail , I liked it because of the slots and overall look , I had to sand on it to get it to a smooth finish spent more than an hour sanding and then painting flat black it's actually not a great product.
      I found the same thing inside the space of the valve with safepack screwed in the space where the spring and valve stem are is longer thus making the spring kinda wobble around inside , I've done so many different things I believe I used a standard hammer spring as the valve spring and a superlight stainless spring for the hammer spring .
      Forgive me if you already know but I warn everyone if your pump reads MPA instead of PSI or BAR be careful .
      1600 MPA = 2360 PSI or very close to that number , don't pump to 2400 MPA or your going to have a dangerous situation on your hands .

    • @jasonnealey8325
      @jasonnealey8325  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh one last thing about the rail with the rough finish, I had to file the hole for the barrel as it was too small to fit, not a good product and 2x the price of the smooth finished rail .
      There is a forearm for a Benjamin marauder pistol that looks just like the AK 47 forearm , it would fit but has a hole for the Guage and you would need to make a shroud so you don't have a huge gap around the barrel . I also considered, buying clamp on Tri rails and mounting 3 or 4 in a row to give an AR forend look .

      @@jasonnealey8325 yes I'm sitting here now looking at the safe pack where the spring goes in and seats in the aluminum part. It's too bad the other end of this safe pack doesn't come apart and we can put a metal disc in there with a pinhole in it, that way it would only fire the small capsule of air that is around the spring like the stock brass valve. The pinhole could even be a jet from a small carburetor that you can change to different sizes. I have a lathe but it's all packed up in a trailer, otherwise I would make my own safe pack out of stainless and make it long enough to fit under my 24 inch barrel. It also looks like the original valve can be drilled and tapped where the CO2 cartridge presses up against it and a hose could be run out the end to an external tank with a regulator on it. These guns are cheap enough to tinker with. I just bought a brand new one on Amazon this month for $59. If you get it in the non store packaging it's $30 less. Comes in a plain brown box with warning labels all over it.

      @@descargaelbano love the ideas for your own safpack , drilling a port for a Guage would be great too. There are pcp conversions but the kit alone is over 300 bucks and it's from China with no instructions from what I've heard.

      Just reading over your comments again and released I probably didn't answer one of your questions, I didn't like the short spring either , I ended up using a standard Hammer spring in place of the valve spring and a heavy hammer spring behind the hammer , I noticed the shot count does change after shooting a couple of tins of pellets , the shot count will reduce by one or 2 , I was getting 15 or 16 shots from the lower powered tune , now getting 14 shots from 22 pumps .

    I misstated again in this video, safepac is safe it is screwed into the back of the valve , Highpacs can be dangerous in some cases
    Safepac requires no modification except taking the back half of the valve off and screwing in the safepac .

      Also Airgun Capitol has a great barrel band

    I have the same setup on my 2240
    Pcp I added on mine a power adjuster .045 hammer spring ultralight ss valve spring 60% airflow transport 14.5 inch barrel I haven't done the crony test but this thing is stupid strong I could pump mine up to 2200 PSI I get around 6 super power shots believe it or not it's stronger than my diana bandit 22 pcp.

    • @jasonnealey8325
      @jasonnealey8325  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I fully understand, when I first started tuning I was getting just 3 shots , pumping to what I thought was 1000 psi , my pump reads MPA Which is not the same thing I was only getting 3 full power shots .
      One commenter clued me into an app for airgunners it's a chrony app .
      I was shooting 45+ foot pounds .
      Now I'm getting 11 shots for 20 pumps shooting 18 and 21 grain pellets in the high 800s , I put an ultralight hammer spring in to get more shots .
      The thing I like most is the weight and ability to bring the riffle to bear quickly , I recently bought the croman Icon which weighs in at just over 7 pounds , Im guessing the 2240 pcp is around 3.5 or less .
      If you have the ability try to post a video, there is almost no info at all on safepac and how to tune or what to expect , for me my 1st shot is not as powerful as the air pressure and spring are hard to overcome at full pump but the next 9 shots stay pretty true then I get 1 shot under powered at it dumps all the remaining air , also I was having to cock the hammer just to pump when I had the magnum hammer spring installed it kept the valve from seating .

    40 grain is NICE, add 24 inch barrel, long steel breech, heavy hammer spring and stock pop it spring allows for some spectacular long range shooting, 50 to 100 yards. Do recommend 3x9x40 scope, roller trigger is a dream, needle bolt stainless steel, do recommend cleaning the barrel-inside, oh ya the half shroud moderator is nice reduction in the crack crack crack echo, I went big and long, for extra stability a tripod with Arca adapter shooting a bar code at 50 yards, pick which number and erase the bar code-bar above that number-real easy. Do recommend 60% oversized transfer port, Lock tight is your friend, when assembling breech to tube, align and clamp them together then put the breech screw in, without doing this stripping the breach screw is dam easy.

      Thanks for commenting, I intend to build another soon . I agree on cleaning the barrel , I cleaned mine then reamed it with 500.000 grit diamond paste over a few days as I watched videos . I put a plug of cleaning pellets in the muzzle side to keep the cleaning rod and diamond paste out of the crown . I did the 60 percent transfer like you recommended. Lol I was just looking at roller triggers and fulcrum triggers. So far the only thing done on trigger is a silver trigger shoe , very happy with that mod . Nice to hear about your build . If you have videos I'll check them out

      This is home made , I started with a Crosman 2240 pistol, I put an 18 inch barrel on it and then added the safepac and the plastic picatiny rails on after assembly, it's really not difficult at all and the only tools needed are Allen wrenches and screw driver , I watched a tutorial on how to disassemble the 2240 completely and went from there , I can say I'm still super happy with all aspects , it's very light weight , it is powerful and accurate, it does have a big shot curve and I will usually empty the whole air tank before filling , getting 11 or 12 shoots for about 22 pumps .
      This project is pretty easy , if you decide to try and run into trouble I'd be happy to help .
      Cost can be way higher building your own , pistol $80 Barrel about $40
      Safepac about $80
      Wood handles $45
      Picatiny rail×2 = $24
      Threaded barrel adapter $25 to $38
      Silencer $38 .
      Inside 60 percent increase transfer port and oversized seal $30 .
      Light weight hammer spring
      $ 12 .
      Red dot sight $20 dollars , all can be purchased from eBay and Amazon .

    • @jasonnealey8325
      @jasonnealey8325  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir , the safepac cost 85 dollars on ebay , the pistol cost about 90 brand new .
      It's much cheaper to buy a store bought pcp .
      The wood grips were 45 dollars , the adjustable stock was around 60 bucks , the rails were 19 bucks each .
      The red dot was about 25 dollars. There is a tiny lazer up top 20 dollars .
      The 14 inch barrel cost around 45 dollars , the silencer adapter cost 40 dollars . Inside I have a heavy hammer spring and a 60 percent Transfer port along with a Benjamin Discovery valve stem / popet .
      Currently getting 14 shots for 22 pumps for fill up peak power on this tune is 820 FPS with 14.3 grains , it can be tuned to deliver just 3 shots , pumped up to 2400 psi , the FPS on that tune was shooting Peak power at 915 FPS shooting the 25 grain Rabit Magnum 2 , I believe that gives me nealry 45 foot pounds but again only 3 shots for 22 pump strokes .
      If you decide to build one Im happy to answer any questions, some people don't like the low air volume of the cylinder but it doesn't bother me , after all for the 1322 you have to pump 10 times just to get one shot at 500 FPS or just slightly lower to be accurate in my statement.
      Check out my other build where I created my own handguard , I ended up with something looking like a Ruger mini 14 . I'm very proud of that build and turned down a 400 dollar offer for it , it's probably a fair offer but it's a one if a kind
