Alex Garcia most likely they sell the swordfish to local restaurants which is big money if a restaurant offers swordfish on their menu they need to always gaurantee they have it so these guys have taken the fight out of it and time out of it as well to maximize their profit.
theyre potentionally dropping their bait down thousands of feet it would take literally all day to fight a sword fish up from that depth even with electric reels it can still take hours with big sword fish

I wouldn't let them take their dogs on the boat because they are in the way plus they crap everywhere. People shouldn't bring them in the first place because there's a limited space for everyone else. Makes no sense to me that you would bring a dog

Please excuse my ignorance but why are you using an automated reel that does all the work ? Shouldn’t a person be fighting the fish with reel and rod?

It’s more dense than a lot of fish we catch, just don’t want to over cook it and dry it out

We use both. It’s up to the clients. A lot of people use electrics cause the Gulf Stream runs 3-4 knots and heavy leads are needed to keep baits down
