I love how you think, Mark. "Let's melt this envelope and make some faux stones." You encourage me to look at things differently. I've always been an out of the box thinker, but your brain does it so much better than mine!
Loved the recycling. You always make such wonderful things, out of nothing. You always make us think outside the box. I love that. Stay safe and be well .
The jellyfish!!!! I love them. These are great ideas. I'm definitely going to try the jellyfish. Thanks again for the inspiration. Hope you are well, have a terrific week.
Hi Mark! Always good to recycle, even great ideas! I had forgotten the jellyfish solar lights... I see a trip to dollar store for some solar stakes coming soon! Have an amazing weekend sweet friend! 🦋
Thank you Mark! I absolutely love upcycled crafts. Especially using plastic bottles for them. The jelly fish was super cute and easy. My mind is already thinking of ways I can make it my own. Love your ideas. 💜😘🌞🍀✌
Upcycling is my favorite thing to do, artistically speaking. Lotsa cool stuff here Mark!!! I love the flowers and jelly fish lights and beads the most!!! There is no limit to creativity if one just believes that!!! Have a happy week sugar plum!!! See ya later! Big hugs!!! 🍃🤗🍃
I remember these projects! The jelly fish and tyvek bracelets are my favorites. I have made them both. Lots of fun to make! Have a wonderful week Mark!
I'm not sure which one I love most! Such creativity, Mark! Wow wow wow! I'm blown away by the faux rocks, wuuuuut??? 😂😆😍 And I really adore the upcycle creative projects with plastic. BRAVO!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨
Hi Mark! I’ve never seen these gifts! I’m happy to hear you tell us about earth friendly cleaning supplies. My favorite were the ‘jellyfish’, bracelets & the faux stones. Way to go my friend 🤗😻💜
Thank you for the tip about those cleaners as I'm tired of using baking soda and vinegar it's not as effective as I would like and I can't clean my hands with it. I switched to Earth Balance laundry soap a few months ago and it's dehydrated paper soap so no more lugging plastic heavy bottles. All of your crafts are amazing again thank you so much
These are great projects and definitely some of my favorites too! And what a wonderful company that is. They came to the right person to represent them. Have a beautiful week!!
What a great coincidence this time that I have a free moment in a Busy day and see you on TH-cam! And I Remember all this projects! Of course ....good spring afternoon Mark!
Hi Mark, love recycling everything and plastic bottles are my best , if I have to buy one I look at the colour and then use them , I have made lots of flowers from red, green, blue and yellow bottles . As we get them in many colours I prefer that then colouring them. Thanks for thinking of the earth 🌎 and happy crafting.
You are such an inspiration Mark! You be an art teacher in school any grade for the easier stuff higher grades for the more difficult. You would be great at it. Stay safe my friend. Oh and when will your show be back on?
Hi Mark! I’ve been checking out some of your older videos. I love this one! I too love to make things with recycled materials. These are fantastic!! ❤️💜💚
Must buy heat gun. Must buy heat gun. Blueland - available in Canada! I’m already using zero liquid laundry detergent so it’s great to hear about this company and I’m happy to support their products. Thanks for letting me know about them. Now ooh, those jellyfish lights 🍓🐟💡 woot!
hi Mark. my daughter and I used recyclable materials to make doll furniture. I had a big box of all kinds of shapes and sizes. We had a lot of fun. I'm going to check out the link.
Hey Mark! You are my go to guru for all things crafting! Would you happen to have any ideas on what to do with a bunch of pill bottles? I have a huge box full of them, so I welcome any thoughts!
Pill bottles are tough! The only project I like using them for is gluing a rock on top and pushing them in the ground with a set of house keys so you have a safe set outside.
Hi Mark! Have you tried making chain garlands out of bottles? Like paper chains but with plastic rings. One of my garland secrets is to make shorter segments that can be connected as I see fit. So much easier to wrap around trees, banisters, and the like. Once I had this idea I really wondered why we think working with 9+ feet of garland is the way to go. You know what would be super groovy? A garland competition/ IG hop where the garlands are all made from reused packaging. It would be fun to see what all the makers come up with. Also, I think you’ll appreciate that I figured out how to turn the plastic that holds six packs together into confetti. I color the rings with alcohol ink and then chop it up. The pieces can be used in shaker cards, mosaics, as beads, or in acrylic gels. Basically any way you would use glitter or confetti. It really turns out quite pretty especially when I use Pearl or glitter alcohol inks. Jenny Belly, another TH-camr, had a video tutorial for how to use plastic grocery sacks for armament for ornaments. Great idea. I haven’t seen a video from her in a long, long time.
Blueland is super cool and all of these projects worked with helping get the word out about it. Thanks for always being so supportive Phoebe! You rock!
The jellyfish look so magical at night, but making the faux stones is just one of my favorite things to do. You can wrap them and they look even more amazing...no one will know they're faux!
@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark I don't really know what type of plastic is that of the Tyvek envelopes, but I will keep any plastic envelope I receive that looks similar to that, and give it a try
Mark really said "Let's start the Earth Day promo a month early because Earth Day should be everyday anyway"... I'm with it. I missed seeing a few of these the first time around...
Question Mark, I saw you dampen cut out flowers to decoupage onto something, I have empty Trader Joe's coffee containers, and Elle Decor, House Beautiful and AD magazines. Do you think glossy cutouts would work? Thanks, you are such a pro, you know (almost) everything. Lori
Hi Mark, with all the safety concerns I've read with using alcohol inks and resin, I wondered if you used a respirator while working with them? it seems that some artists do and some dont???... it gets a bit confusing
Hi Christine, you should always use plenty of fresh air and/or a respirator when using resin. I work in a small room with the window open and a fan and then get the heck out of there for 12 hours until it cures! I don't breath in anything.
I make wind chimes out of the tops of the bottles from like middle up then the bottom I'm a ghost for Halloween I make Christmas ornaments there's like a bazillion things you can make with plastic I've made lamps I've made lampshades I've made fake seashells you name it I pretty much have made it just too much fun
I love how you think, Mark. "Let's melt this envelope and make some faux stones." You encourage me to look at things differently. I've always been an out of the box thinker, but your brain does it so much better than mine!
I just have a bag of tricks and I'm sure you have a bag that would blow my mind, too! Thanks for popping in today!
Loved the recycling. You always make such wonderful things, out of nothing. You always make us think outside the box. I love that. Stay safe and be well .

The first craft takes me back to the 90s when we made those paper roll up beads. Hehe. In fact, I still have a bracelet my friend made for me!
