@@Wheelstar72 Sorry to spoil you, but there is a website about this particular program. They rescue lonely and helpless orangutan where none of their community is around. So, we do need a rescue center.

o all the people complaining, these non-profits take NONE of your money. They are funded entirely by donations from people who want their money to go toward saving endangered species. So stop crying about how resources are "wasted" on them. Helping destitute people and helping animals are not mutually exclusive things.

Qualities such as emotions and social attachment come from the primitive parts of our brains. We share this with non-human animals because we have common ancestry. We however have a more developed cerebral cortex, and that's what makes us human.
